Vince, Monkey and Coby were excellent tour guides they made the whole experience really enjoyable and took time with everyone individually to insure they were having a great time. Would highly highly recommend this activity and if you can try get Vince, Monkey and Coby as your guides as they really made the trip for me. Was definitely the highlight of my trip in Vietnam and I am going to recommend it to all my friends. Long, Ni, and Tim were attentive, patient, and fun guides who made me feel so safe and comfortable throughout the experience. What I really appreciated about this tour is that they cap the number of participants at 5-6 people so you get to spend more time abseiling and trekking than standing around and waiting. We were picked up promptly in the morning and made way to the waterfall where we had some time to learn the skills and practice until we felt confident. Our guides Tony and Jerry were kind, funny and allowed us to do some things twice. Plenty of photos taken, we were provided with drinks and an excellent lunch. Our guides helped us book Bus tickets to our onward destination which was kind. We got picked up from our homestay by the guide and a driver and were brought to the starting point. From there, our guide had an amazing route for us with beautiful viewpoints and lots of nature. His English was very good and he taught us a lot of interesting things about the region. Spectacular ride through forest and mountains. Mostly downhill so easy going. Luit was really helpful and informative about the history and culture of the area. Really supportive and we went at our own pace. We finished at the Buddhist Statue with a view of the Elephant falls. We had lunch and returned in the van back to Dalat. Very memorable day. Three days prior to the tour I spoke with the tour operator personally on the telephone (as well as further correspondence by text). The gentleman confirmed I was booked for the Dalat City Tour. Although the tour states pick-up/drop-off at your hotel, the man said my hotel was too far away and he asked if I could meet at a the Dalat Market instead at 8:00am where a tour guide would contact me and pick me up for the tour. Although this was not what the tour promised, I agreed. It was VERY inconvenient, and a bit costly, for me to travel from my hotel in Dalat to the Market where I was supposed to meet but, nevertheless, I did and I arrived there shortly before 8am, as requested.
8:30a.m. came and I still did not hear from the Tour Guide. I double checked my text message history to be sure I did not book for the wrong date or got the times mixed up, but everything was correct. Still, I know how things can get in Vietnam, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. However, by the time 9 a.m. came and I never heard from the Tour Operator nor a Tour Guide so I contacted the Tour Operator I had spoken to prior to let him know. He never responded.
I wasted the little time I had in Dalat (and money for the taxi to and from the prearranged "pick-up" location) trying to take this tour but no one even arrived!!! I am INCREDIBLY unhappy and find this absolutely unacceptable. This terrible service will not go unnoticed. Unfortunately, it has caused an overall poor impression of Dalat for me.
