It is the low season, but still rather hot and stifling in the mostly narrow aisles even with few people.

Nothing really too new here. Over pestering and too much of same being sold by too many over eager sellers. They are not angry though if you politely decline.

Stopped off on the way back from Cu Chi. The market is on a very busy road but provides a quiet haven to eat and refresh in the afternoon heat of the city.

The market consists of a dozen or so venders presenting Vietnamese staples (Banh Mi) to western favourites such as pizza. We chose Banh Mi. Lovely fresh rolls with pork, salad and wonderful sauce.

I got recommended to visit the market due to the history. They sell everything you need there at wholesale. If you don’t want to buy anything, it is fine but there are so many people there

This market mainly sells only clothing. It can be described as a two storey mall filled with small stalls similar to the setup at Ben Thanh Market except that it is more stuffy here and the aisles are really narrow.

If you are not looking to buy clothing, this place is not for you.

Calm and beautiful by day, with flower shops everywhere overflowing with fragrant flowers. At night everything changes and its an area jammed with food stalls and people. We really enjoyed both aspects.

We love markets so we made an effort to walk and find it. The market is not big and is quite airless and hot. You feel like you are in any army disposal store most of the time, but there is a little gem of a shop(s) hidden up the back, you just need to walk through and find it. Just plan for a walk by and 30 mins inside for a quick look. It sort of rounds out the history tour of Vietnam.

Certainly a unique place and pretty sure it's breaking a heap of health and safety regulations (rock climbing with beer and skateboarding a definite no no in Australia)
Good beers and nice open area / beer garden. Worth a visit.

Very busy and crowed. Nice local market to visit for souvenir shopping, but more expensive then in more local markets. Nice, but I like to more smaller markets

As others have mentioned, not for the feint hearted if you don’t like offal or pieces of animals, frogs or fish you don’t know existed. The street markets outside spread for miles. If you want to get a good insight into the culture then Ba Chieu market will provide that.

A fantastic and local market. Friendly vendors with honest prices. Lot's to see, touch and smell! Be sure to explore outside and down the surrounding alleys and streets. A great place to get a feel for a genuine market. No tourists here.

I really enjoyed my visit here, everyone that worked there was super friendly and the atmosphere was super cool. Lots of women's clothing which for me was great and then on the top floor was a henna station, tarot reading and a cafe. Really enjoyed my visit!

Local market for everything; clothes, clothes accessories, fresh food, dried food, fresh fruits, prepared food, fish market section, meat market inside, they even have a tofu stall. Selling vegetables, fruits fish on the outside of the main building under tents. Noisy & crowded, cheap prices, many locals shop here. Few tourist at this market.

This was better than I thought. Vendors were friendly and let you browse in peace. Clean. Not too busy and the indoor parts with fans were a welcome break from the heat. Some quality fabric. I didn't need anything but enjoyed browsing. Not sure on prices. Suggest stopping by if in the area. Don't make a special trip unless you want fabric! Located in Chinatown.

Visited this market on my way to look at the Mosque next to it.

There are fruit shops around the outside which are quite reasonable and well laid out. Once you get into the main part of the market the smell takes over. Not to mention the odd halfwit who tries to drive his bicycle through the market proper. There are people sitting down eating ......

The only positive thing I have to say is that it gives you a window on local culture.
