- Chi H1 contributionThe tour was excellent. Lots of pictures were taken and history learned. We enjoyed the conversations with David and Robin, our tour guides. It was our first time on the bike and they made us feel safe and confident with their driving. They took us to place we probably wouldn’t have known about, but enjoyed everything we ate and was very full afterwards. She made us feel at home with a girl next door kind of warm familiarity. At the same time, she took care of us and made us feel safe. We would never have found all these small street food restaurants on our own. At the end of the day, it all depends on the guide's culture and communication skills. When we booked this course, we thought it would be a bit of tourist entertainment, but there we really experienced an elegant cooking course. Very intensive and still a lot of fun. Chef Vu is really a very experienced chef. We were very surprised by him and there was a very large space for a cooking course. Absolutely recommended. He made a lot of effort and had everything under control. But I cannot tell you how wonderful an experience it was to have this tour with Huy, Han, Hu and Dat! They were all so wonderful! the tour was detailed and informative and I learned so much about the history of the city and people. I felt completely at ease entrusting the riders with my girls and they had THE best time. From the very start he took us on a journey through the city showing us the best places to eat local food and educating us on how it was made. He even showed us how to correctly cross the crazy streets 😂
He was so knowledgeable about the local area and answered all of our questions about Vietnam and the culture. He even bought my mum and I a flower each. My mum Rated it the best tour she has ever been on.
If you are in the city request Dominic as your tour guide!!! Thank you Dominic for such a special evening. We got picked up by a private car, the driver and the guide, Kenh, were friendly and could tell a lot about the city while we were driving. The water puppet show is unique, we really enjoyed it! Aura was such a fantastic guide - friendly, supporting, encouraging, informative and such a sweet person overall. She took me through a fantastic tour of the garden, explaining the plants and their medicinal values along the way. The cookery sessions were delivered at just the right pace and overall meals were delicious! I LOVED the chicken hot pot!!! I was very lucky to have the tour to myself which made me feel very special. Chef Tan and all the other staff also made me feel very welcome. Thank you to everyone for this experience. I highly recommend this tour to those who want a little time out from the city while engaging in some fresh Vietnamese cooking.
