If you want to truly explore HCMC and eat like a local you must do this tour. - Glyn B1 contributionIt was a great pleasure to spend time with Huyen. The outing involved a bus ride to Chinatown, which was something that we would not have considered without someone local. The bus journey allowed Huyen time to explain the regional makeup of Saigon, which was fascinating, who would have thought there were still so many French mansions in Ho Chi Minh.
The walk round the wholesale market was fascinating, no pushy tourist no hassle to buy things. We learned a great deal and saw a lot of things we couldn’t believe.
We finished at what is called the Chinese pagoda but Huyen explained that it was a temple not a pagoda,because there was no Buddha.

The guide leads us walking in super complicated and diverse blocks across District 1, 3, 8 (maybe).
I like every food we tried, the only pity is my stom is not big enough, and to show my respect, I ate them all. And Harry also told us the information behinds.

Her English is perfect, like the queens English. She often asked was all ok and the pace of his driving. The tour was exceptional we visited beautiful temples you would not know they were there, we covered a vast area. Safety was paramount throughout the whole day. We had plenty of photo opportunities. I would highly recommend this trip it is one not to be missed and worth the price. Wonderful memories of an amazing trip. - Pamela E2 contributionsWe did the tour on our second night in HCMC. Our guide was Nancy - a modern girl from close to the city. Her English was great and she was knowledgeable, open and super sweet. The food on the way was yummy and we got to know a lot of new dishes (even after two weeks and countless meals and snacks in Vietnam). It was very interesting to spend some time strolling around Saigon with a local and we learned a lot about the city and its people. We met in a local cafe before starting our walk. Daren is very familiar with the area and we walked for most of the 3 hours covering quite a lot of the city sights. Along the way Daren to photos of me and the area around us. She confidently guided me across many roads and taught me how to be more comfortable on the other side of the camera from what I usually am. I have great time with Daren and really enjoyed the tour. - Ben T1 contributionOur tour guide, Spring, was punctual, flexible, friendly, informative and had great local knowledge. The walking tour went through districts 1, 3 and 10 and included the flower market, apartments and hidden locations that are hard to find.
Food varied from noodles, curries, deserts, ice cream, giant rice and coconut cakes. It was all delicious and it is a good idea to arrive hungry. Locations were popular with locals and sometimes people would pull up on scooters to pick up their favourite food from Street Stalls. We met interesting vendors who had been selling the same product for three generations.

Exploring Ho Chi Minh City by motorbike at night was incredible (it’s a very vibrant place!) and Hung/Tien were sure to show us the very best spots and take us for lots of interesting walks too while they explained everything.
The food was great and we were given big portions everywhere - you certainly won’t leave hungry! However, the thing you’ll get the most from is the chats with your tour guides about Vietnamese life and culture.
