Wow! Our visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels was an absolute eye-opener! We were blown away by the intricate underground tunnels used during the Resistance war. Crawling through the narrow passages gave us a heart-pounding glimpse into the resilience of the Vietnamese people. The exhibits and demonstrations were fascinating, and we couldn't help but feel a deep respect for the ingenuity and bravery displayed here. It's a must-visit for history buffs and adventure seekers alike! We left feeling both humbled and exhilarated by this incredible testament to human perseverance.

The central post office is opposite of the cathedral (but still under renovation.

At glance I thought this is a train station due to gigantic clock. Inside you can enjoy old French architecture which were built in the late 19th Century.

The post office stamps and postcards for you to sent it back home but i feel its too much souvenir shops.

Bui Vien Walking Street is a loud, bustling area filled with bars and eateries offering a diverse range of food. While I don’t drink or smoke, I couldn’t help but notice that you can grab super cheap beers and drinks, with vendors offering them constantly.

The atmosphere is energetic, and you'll be invited to sit in various clubs featuring live performances, whether it's dancing or singing. While this scene isn’t my vibe, if you enjoy partying and nightlife, you’ll definitely appreciate what Bui Vien has to offer. It's a great spot to experience the local nightlife and enjoy the lively ambiance!

My first skyscraper, lovely experience. You can arrive until the 49th floor with a very little cost. I suggest to visit it around sunset, all the commercial area and the skyscrapers around will sparkle of lights. The view is at 360° over the town, unfortunately the reflection of the internal lights troubles the pictures and you need to writhe in order to find the right spot.

I like history, so enjoyed seeing the inside of this building and reading about its usage towards the end of the war with the America. It only takes about an hour to go through it, and placards are in English, as well as Vietnamese.

If I only had one day in Saigon, this would not have been at the top of my list, but if you have a second or third day, it’s worth it.

Very busy walking street, especially at night. Ignore seller if you don't want to buy anything, ignore them even if you want to buy anything. Just go online and buy it. Good place to walk and enjoy the restaurant and cafe along the way or just to kill time at night. Sometimes there is event there so it can be extra crowded and noisy.

The heart of the city. Beautiful square with the City Hall as a backdrop, a beautiful building from French colonial times.
The square is a place for walks and meetings for countless people (tourists and Vietnamese)
Here are the stores of big luxury brands
At night it is particularly interesting with the lighting and is closed to traffic

Notre-Dame Cathedral, also known as Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception is located in central Ho Chi Minh City and was constructed in the late 1800s. The church was established by the French rulers at the time. When we visited the building was undergoing renovations, so it was difficult to have a good look around.

Book street is a sweet idea well executed. No cars or even scooters are allowed down it. There must be 20+ bookshops, most of them selling books in English too. Some stores also have little cafes in them, so you can read while you sip on your coffee! Also a good place to buy journals, postcards, and other little souvenirs. Glad I strolled through here!

This temple has a nice sense of history and atmosphere ( lit incense and coiled hanging incense) but anyone who says that there is a garden/ pond has the temples mixed up as this one is quite tight and urban

It was interesting to see ALL the food goods and general merchandise. There were various items I’ve never seen before in my international travels.

Dong Khoi Street is famous for its colourful shopping zone in HCMC. Standing at its starting point, Lam Son Square is famous for its embroidered tablecoths and napkins. Prices offered in this area are well within one's budget and varieties. Exclusive custom-made silk garments are also being offered by the shops and the quality can be comparable to those in Singapore or Hong Kong. The fantastic concordance of colors and intricate workmanship of the dress materials are worth mentioning.
Besides silk garments and embroidered tablecoths and napkins, shawls, purses and silk scarves are also worth getting. There is also a wide variety of handbags made of different materials. Thus, it is impossible to slow down the frenetic pace on this street.

This pagoda has places to worship Buddha, Confucius and also Tao religion. It was interesting to see the three different areas. There is an area that shows what hell will be like for people who behave badly. It took us about half an hour with our guide to see this site

Just another crazy chaotic street within HCMC, however, it has its attraction, there is a lovely park, and the home of Taka plaza, for copy shopping, and a very sanitised food court, definitely worth a walk.

Landmark 81 might not be as impressive or towering as expected. While it is a significant skyscraper, its appearance and height may not meet everyone's expectations. It’s worth a visit, but it may not be as striking as some other iconic landmarks.
