- ron bLondon215 contributionsFound this gem from local student tour called Saigon Hotpot. Need a tour guild to explain all the back ground and get the best experience.Written 26 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 60alexandraLondon, UK297 contributionsWe thought it was a Buddhist shrine but apparently it is a mixture of Chinese and Vietnamese beliefs. It is in a funny little side street and you are required to wear masks which are provided free of charge. The building and contents are a slightly bizarre mixture of ancient and modern with fabulous carvings alongside air conditioning units. Never be allowed by the National Trust. Well worth a visit.Written 18 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LeonhknyHong Kong, China13,078 contributionsThis is a photogenic Catholic church inherited from the colonial era. A bit away from the major tourist attractions in Saigon, Tan Dinh Church is impressive and perfectly Instagram-able. Beware that it is not open on weekends.Written 20 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LeonhknyHong Kong, China13,078 contributionsIt is quite interesting to find a Hindu temple at the centre of Ho Chi Minh City. Mariamman Hindu Temple is a small shrine near major tourist attractions. Worth to stop by when around although nothing much is going on.Written 2 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GarfieldluvrDenver, CO840 contributionsThis was a very nice temple and pagoda. We were lucky enough to be there when a monk was chanting which is such a beautiful sound. A little out of the way from the main tourist track, but taxis are cheap and its worth the time and effort.Written 7 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GarfieldluvrDenver, CO840 contributionsThis pagoda is a little drive outside of the tourist area, but I thought it was very pretty and I was glad we went. - Paul Z14 contributionsThis Buddhist Monastery is about a 50-60 min cab or scooter ride from district 1.
It’s a great place to spend 1-2 hours if you are interested in Buddhism or looking to capture some amazing photos.
I hired a scooter round trip for about 300,000 dong and the ride there was amazing in itself!
It would be very hard to find a way back without prearrangement.

- wombatdavidHobart, Australia2,339 contributionsWe walked up here from our hotel on our final day to get some exercise. Sorry to say it is nothing that special for us. The doors were closed over lunch time anyway. We could see the statue inside. - LeonhknyHong Kong, China13,078 contributionsThis is one of the more popular temples in Cholon, Saigon's once-robust Chinatown. An establishment of immigrants of Fujian descent, Quan Am Pagoda is the place to worship the Goddess of Mercy. Both the ornate entrance and colorful interior are impressive. Like other Chinese religious sites in the area, it is rich in smell of incense.Written 5 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
