Beautiful architecture and lit up at night is just stunning. A nice calm place with a lovely fountain nearby and Uncle Ho's statute with manicured garden area. Very clean. Shame you cant go inside. Nice to go when they close the traffic off and you can really enjoy this space. Lots of local families walking around here.

"It’s one of the iconic images of the Vietnam War. Hubert van Es’ snapshot shows a military helicopter perched atop the US Embassy in Saigon as Americans stream up a stairway, desperately boarding the last flight out.

Except that isn’t a military helicopter, that’s not the US Embassy, those aren’t Americans and that wasn’t the last flight out.

And, perhaps most surprising of all, the photo is not about defeat.

“As I was researching it, I found that almost everything I had assumed about that photo was wrong,” historian and author Thurston Clarke tells The Post."

Not sure if we would have found this without our guide, but so glad we went. This building is a remarkable piece of history, and you can even climb down into the cellar and up into the attic. Surprised that our 13 year-old daughter really connected with this place.
