The contrast between the new skyscrapers and the more historic structures (like the Opera House) was fascinating to see. - JalakySunshine Coast, Australia471 contributionsWe did a walk and also observed this street from the roof of an open topped bus and it seems that no matter what night of the week, this street is alive with young people socialising and escaping the heat. There were competing sounds from various singers and djs and lots of hawkers selling balloons and glow products but the weirdest sight was a snake on the ground not far from a beautifully groomed cat on a harness. We stumbled upon a section where everyone displays their pampered pets. We came into this class with little to no culinary skills and had a lovely time learning some knife skills with the very patient Chef Vu. We were taught how to roll our own spring rolls, make the infamous Vietnamese fish sauce & much more. We had a great time smashing garlic and onions.
We did the cooking lesson as part of a package trip that included a 30 minute cyclo tour around the city that was also great fun with wonderful guides and then a market tour to purchase the ingredients which I found a bit uncomfortable and could’ve lived without but the rest of the package made up for it.

The best massage I’ve ever had and at a very reasonable price for the expertise of the masseurs and attentiveness to make sure you have a wonderful experience. You just wouldn’t get this high level of service in the UK.
My husband finally agreed to come with me and we were given our treatments together at the same time. The only separate section is the hot baths, sauna and showers.
We booked a 2 hour package: Body Massage + Foot Massage and Sauna & Hot spa for 730,000VND = only £26!!
We were asked our preferences on arrival - how much pressure for each body area, hot stones, walking on your back? A very personal service.

Went for the intense one and had all sorts of lotions and contraptions working some magic. The back and shoulder massage at the end was a nice bonus.
