- Ellen GPlainview, NY167 contributionsWe came here because the site we wanted to visit was closed, and I am so glad we did. The archeologists have recreated some of the original decorations in Herod's palace, and by doing that you can glimpse the magnificance that once was there. It made visiting much more meaningful than just having a sign giving the information. This is a place that will prove to be a highlight of your trip.Written 26 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rmitgoteamNaples, FL1,030 contributionsThis is a small park situated along a quiet stream with lots of picnic tables sitting under shady trees. It seems to be a popular spot for families. We visited to see the ruins of a Crusader fortified farm called Acqua Bella that dates from 1160. The front wall standing 12m high is pretty impressive. There are more rooms and ruins to explore inside although the site itself is not large. Since the ruin is located within the national park, you have to pay the full entrance fee of 22 shekels per person to see it. It’s a 15 minute walk along the stream to reach the ruin. The ruin was empty when we were there on a weekday afternoon so we had the whole place to ourselves. There’s lots of parking and toilets too.Written 18 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dan MTel Aviv, Israel15,458 contributionsMy first time there as it is relatively new as a National Park.
People drive a lot by this place from Tel Aviv or Giv'at Ze'ev to Jerusalem but few stop there.
Many religious people come here to pray and this makes this place special.
Besides this religious aspect and the archeological findings, the views on Jerusalem and all the surroundings, 360 degrees, is absolutely beautiful and only for this it is well worth your time.
Just look at the pictures, I believe they'll convince you.Written 29 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A unique site where debris from the Mount is sifted with amazing findings. EnjoyWritten 8 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
