Cozy atmosphere, beautiful klezmer music, fun and laughter, dance, incredible place full of yiddish books, kugel and wine, pantomime, exhibitions of a great man like Yonatan, I love this place. Better book in advance.
Jerusalem Khan Theatre is a popular venue that presents drama in English and Hebrew. Subtitles are often used. The Khan Theater is located in an attractive Ottoman structure, which is hundreds of years old. The theatre was established in 1972. It was the first permanent repertory company in Jerusalem. The forecourt of the theatre has an al fresco coffee shop, which is a nice place to have a coffee before the show. By the way, the auditorium seats just over 200 people.
The very best part of this sound and light show were the surroundings of King David's palace. Using the old walls as screens gave it a very old biblical feel. The story shown on the walls was the history of Jerusalem and the many ravages and rebuilding over time. It was a nice evening out as part of our guided two week tour. I am not sure I would choose this on its own.
the opposite of alive is a unique performance, alone with a flashlight inside the nature museum at night, you will never feel more alive... don't miss it!
