When you get up to the mountain you get a breathtaking view of enormous city, rich green nature, cathedral, restaurants and a souvenir market.
Make sure to go both up and down the trails that leave from the churche as you can see the via dolorosa represented in 14 sculptures along the park.

Beautiful nature, and great views of Bogota city!
The nature is amazing, just outside of the big city and you feel you can breath fresh air again, you dont hear anything except for some birds.

During papa Francisco visit to Colombia this park was a perfect scenery for the epic Mass with more than 1.2 million people in a perfect mystic union.
The park is quite large so you can take a leisurely stroll, rent a canoe, paddleboat, or watch one of the many informal games of football(soccer) going on.

Amazing street market on Sunday when the park also fills with free musical talent performing all over the park.
Parking is somewhat tough, but this is a fabulous outdoor market on weekends, with the park itself and adjoining narrow streets crammed with vendors of every kind of Colombian art and craft.
Cascada La Chorrera Choachi 3.7 km away

A big plus is that you can park in the street because there is people taking care of the cars for just a few coins (not 100% safe but i've done that a hundred times and it turns out well).

Around the park also there are plenty of good restaurants and coffee shops, such as the rivals Juan Valdez and Starbucks!
