Great museum, really worth a visit. The displays are dust-free and well cared for. If you have been to the temples and tombs near Luxor, this museum showcases the statuary and artefacts that were excavated from those locations. We went in the evening and it was much cooler.

As others have said, this is extra cost, but worth it. The colours and the paintings are amazing. The intricate detail in the hieroglyphics is mind-boggling, particularly given the scale of the tomb. Very worthwhile as an addition to the three 'normal' tombs that you are allowed with an entrance ticket.

This animal hospital cares for injured horses, donkeys as well as street cats, dogs & tortoises. They don’t charge Egyptians for the treatment. They also educate children on how to care for & treat animals. It’s an important place to visit to see the great work they do. Highly recommend a visit (tour takes 30 mins). Donations aren’t requested but are vital to the work they do.

One of the most impressive tombs in Luxor, and of all Egyptian tombs, so i have the pleasure to see this year for the first time. It was amazing and well preserved tomb full of colours and meaning, the preservation team have done a very good work, it is expensive, but it values the money, I recommend of course, and if I can insure I will go there again. Do not miss this amazing tomb, for me is the number 1.

This shop is really a hidden gem. The owners are super friendly and never intrusive. on the contrary! Here buyers are given trust and can look at the many antiques at their leisure. highest quality and absolutely fair prices. If you have any questions you will be helped straight away and the family business goes far beyond just this shop. I recommend it with a clear conscience and would come again! :)

My wife and I visited the Valley of the Kings as part of our cruise of the Nile River this past December. Our entry ticket allowed us to visit three tombs. Out tour director suggested that one of the tombs to visit be the Tomb of Ramses IV. It was a good selection. The colors were very vibrant and the drawings and hieroglyphics on the walls and ceilings were very intricate. We thought it was one of the best tombs in the Valley of the Kings.

The museum is small, but interesting the only negative thing is the attitude of the staff, the guy at the tickets counter was rude and he pretended he didn't have change, and since I didn't have my credit card on me he took the whole amount, it was not big, but it was shameful coming from a government emplyee.

Best craft gift shop in Luxor! Really nice old-style Ushabti , scarabs, Bedouin jewelry and dresses, baskets, and nice reproduction tomb models made of wood. No hassle atmosphere. Take tea with the owner and take a good look around. Some unusual and hard to find items.
    Easy walk from Medinat Habu.

This is my second trip to the west bank and I have discovered a jewel in Imhotep Alabaster shop. The friendly family atmosphere with a "no pressure " approach was refreshing. The price was reasonable and the products were superb for selection. A #1 shop

Not to be missed and directly across the road from the Colossi of Memnon is the exciting new attraction of the Luxor Art Gallery. The Gallery comprises of a number of beautifully designed spaces exhibiting art works by Egyptian and International artists.
It is one of the first serious galleries in Upper Egypt and well worth a visit.
