What travellers are saying
- tara888Melton, Australia37 contributionsFantastic day out for the whole family, my kids age 11 and 7 loved all the rides, wait time was less than 10 minutes for all rides (we went in right on 10am open) and made sure we went on a weekday not on school holidays. Good mix of thrill rides for my 12 year old and us adults and good choices for slower rides for my little one. Waterworld show was fantastic and staff all very helpfulWritten 14 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Susan TSingapore, Singapore4 contributionsOverall it was an amazing experience that blew me away... & you should not miss it!!!
The jelly fish section looks so surreal , I have never seen anything like that before...like they are in dreamland...no worries just floating.
Feedback for RWS to make the experience even more amazing:
1. Jellyfish section
Put a sign to tell people to be try to be very quiet for a lovely view & experience for everyone. Do not talk if you notice people doing videos.
2. Ticketing& long queue
Have you been to Bird Paradise in Spore? Its another wonderful trip not to be missed. The entry to the paradise is seamless and very friendly and fast. You can book online or on the spot using your mobile phone & just walk through the gantry by scanning your ticket. Not a minute wasted.Ambassadors were on hand to help & they are knowledgeable & welcoming .
Ticketing at Sea Aquarium needs review& revamp. I booked online the night before but due to system error I did not get a pdf ticket & had to queue ( it's humid & hot to queue). Please improve the queue location ( air conditioning it or put cooler sprays etc). For tourists who are unaccustomed to humid weather its not nice experience.
Maybe useful to Aircond the queuing area ( since RWS is renovating please consider this. The walk towards the entrance is right next to the sea...if the queue is in an enclosed space in a air cond walkway people can enjoy the sea view & on the opposite wall u can put posters or TV screens to give preview info on marine life, to make the walk in less unbearable if there are hoards of tourists.
Also let people see online if there is going to be a huge crowd...& best time to visit. It takes 1 to 2 hrs to admire the fishes& marine life.
3. Crowds & resting & quiet viewing
I went on a weekday and it was so pleasant until hoards of tourists flooded the place.
For a more pleasant experience , useful for RWS to put signs outside to encourage a quieter peaceful view...by being quiet.
4.Benches
Put more resting benches for elderly to rest . Sea Aquarium has the same amazing huge pool as bird Paradise 's penguin place ( the penguin plave there is awesome by the way) . ...People were sitting on the floor in front to soak in the atmosphere here at Sea Aquarium 'slarge pool.
Like Bird Paradise put benches for people to sit...& admire. I took lovely shots here at the viewing gallery.
5. Dining& shopping
At Bird Paradise there is a cafe dining just before the penguin place. ...& some small cafes inside. Its useful & way to increase revenue. The gift shop is good...we bought the otter from genshin game.
More collaborations like this will improve visitor experience.I like the stamps collection at 6 stations...even without the ongoing collaboration...kids will certainly love this.. with no extra charge please.
Dining options outside at Bird Paradise is amazing too. So many to choose from ...these options greeted us on the way towards Bird Paradise ( at mandai not at rws)
However to be fair we went to sea Aquarium during RWS ongoing renovations so there was not much in terms of affordable food or options. Can't wait for the upgrading to be completed.
6. Descriptions of fishes & minor points
These were put too far away from the actual exhibit...but I understand .
I saw 2 sweepers with a broom on standby. Tell them to sweep maybe twice a day , not be there all the time...they are not part of the exhibits.
7. Touching starfish
Not necessary...long queues disrupt the flow of people, maybe put elsewhere near the exit...or outside the aquarium.
8. Feedback for visitors
Do not scream or shout even though you are so excited..especially when people are quietly trying to record a video. Basic etiquette
Overall an amazing experience. THANKS to RWS.
8. Price
For visitors : if you think the ticket is expensive which I do too initially, think about the money you contributed towards the phenomenal costs to upkeep & protect marine life & the amazing collection& the amazing experience. Its worth the trip ! 4 stars +++!
And 5+++ stars if they do some improvement based on people's feedbackWritten 12 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kris T143 contributionsThe highlight of this beach is the island. Very beautiful, lovely water, lovely swimming spot. A bit crowded, but ok. Some beach clubs nearby so a bit noisy as well. Well worth a visit thoughWritten 18 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Lenny HAuckland, New Zealand921 contributionsVery easy, flat walk. You can walk under cover most of the way. So quick, not worth catching the express. Nice views across the harbour.Written 12 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Hasith AmarakoonRatnapura, Sri Lanka77 contributionsAmazing place where you can learn the singapore military history. Calm environment with nice views. There are some statues and historical places which reflect some old memories. Need to walk for few KM to cover the area. Recommend to visit when you have whole day free.Written 28 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Y.YJapan87 contributionsSiloso Beach exceeded my expectations. It’s very close to the Wings of Time Theatre from Beach Station. Before the night show started, I took a walk along the beach and enjoyed the beautiful sunset views. For travelers who enjoy a drink, the beachside bar is a great option and could make for a memorable experience.Written 6 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lenny HAuckland, New Zealand921 contributionsEasy lift access to the top. Nice views. Cool breeze. All flat. And the best part is that it’s free. Definitely worth popping to the top even if you don’t want to explore the fort.Written 12 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SOH KIEN PENGSingapore, Singapore9,283 contributionsThe weather was scorching hot this afternoon when I headed for Sentosa. But Telok Blangah Hill Top and Mount Faber Park are endowed with dense green forest with tall shady trees that shielded me from the piercing ultraviolet rays. It was windy but amazingly deafening was the cicada vibrating loud noise as I strolled past the thick green vegetation by the hillside. The challenging uphill climbs from Depot Road up Henderson Waves and Marang Trail was exhilarating, exerting pressure on the heart to pump hard and I was perspiring.
After the boardwalk, I reached Resort World Station intending to board the Sentosa Express to Beach Station, but the queue for the monorail was terribly long. Today is a public holiday and Sentosa is flooded with crowd. I decided to walk to the beach. It was a very short walk passing by the newly opened Sentosa Sensory Scape. From Palawan Beach, I hopped on the free beach shuttle tram to Tanjong Beach.
Tanjong Beach seems similar to the other two beaches. But I did not see any suspension bridge here. There is a little island not far from the shore and people just swam over to the island. Quite a substantial number of picnickers brought along their pet dogs and strolled with their dogs along the beach. Many ignored NEA advice on the hot weather and lie down half naked directly under the scorching sun. The pulsating music from the beach club added vibrance to the beach scene. Many sat with their friends at umbrella shaded seats or mats beside swaying coconut trees hydrating themselves with beers and drinks. I like the party atmosphere here.
Took the tram back to Beach station and boarded the monorail back to Vivo City. Back at Mount Faber Peak, saw the latest chrome color and spherical shape 4th generation cable car moving towards the Peak. These latest cable cabins started taking passengers only recently on 20 Mar 2024 at the company 50th anniversary.
On reaching home, I realised my step tracker had clocked 25 thousand steps. So near yet so far.Written 29 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Cam13 contributionsVery fun!
Unique idea and executed wonderfully.
The flights were very short however, and it had a hefty price to do another flight (SGD$50.00).
Enjoyable nevertheless! 👍Written 26 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Daniel SBrisbane213 contributionsWorth a visit if you are at Sentosa Island. There a couple of towers that you can go up, and get good views of the area. It sits between two beaches and is a nice break from walking along the beach.
The bridge itself isn't that wide, but two people could walk past each other easily.Written 17 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
