We are regular visitors to Singapore (also having lived and worked there for several years) and are always looking for something new to do each time we visit, so this was a first time visit for us.
The excellent use of audio visual aids and some hands on activities, makes for a very interesting and engaging time at this museum.
For me the highlight was the simulation of being on an ancient trading vessel which is caught in a storm. I didn't realise it at first but the floor actually drops as we sink to the bottom of the ocean while our boat is destroyed. Unfortunately the simulation only goes for about 10 mins and then all the fun is over. I think there is potential to extend the program even further to make it even more enjoyable.
I thought the entry fees were very reasonable. $15 adults, $10 seniors, not sure for children. If you want to experience the simulation, it is an extra $3 (well worth it).
The museum is next door to the aquarium which is a must see.
