What travellers are saying
- Franz Lowell LManila, Philippines140 contributionsDecided to leave the little one to the care of my mom / dad / sister in law so that the wife and I can spend a nice day in Universal Studios Singapore. What's a Singapore trip without USS?!
The Good
- This place healed by inner child. Had so much fun riding and seeing the different attractions
The Bad
- Pricey entrance tickets for a theme park this small
- Surprisingly the place was packed on a Monday, hence...
- Queues were pretty looong... Could have eliminated this with Express Pass but it's my fault for being too cheap to pay extra for this perk.
- EVERYTHING IS EXPENSIVE since this is a theme park, obviously.
- Some of the rides encountered issues, quite sad.
- HOT HOT HOT in SINGAPORE. Ventilation could definitely be improved further.
The Verdict
- Even though it appears that the CONS outweigh the only PRO listed, we still had a spanking grand time in USS coz this is my first time. We would definitely be back again someday with the little one, but we'll definitely go for the Express Passes by then.Written 14 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The only downside was the the ticket booth was not well organized. My visit to the Aquarium was 2 days before leaving Singapore so I wanted to use up my SG$ but was told that unless I had the exact amount, I wouldn't be able to pay in cash. Additionally, the lady told me that since it was the beginning of their working day, they didn't have any cash & only accepted cards.
It was disappointing & surprising that an attraction like this wasn't at all prepared to accept cash payments.Written 30 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kris T143 contributionsThe highlight of this beach is the island. Very beautiful, lovely water, lovely swimming spot. A bit crowded, but ok. Some beach clubs nearby so a bit noisy as well. Well worth a visit thoughWritten 18 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Lenny HAuckland, New Zealand952 contributionsVery easy, flat walk. You can walk under cover most of the way. So quick, not worth catching the express. Nice views across the harbour.Written 12 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TualieVarese, Italy1,586 contributionsSentosa is a fun island; there is almost no way to get bored in this island full of vibes and amusement venues but also there is a historic part, a military battery built on the western tip of the island very much in action during the WWII days. It dates back since the British administration days (1878). Many structures look eroded and dusty, I guess just to keep it as they were originally, the artillery looked OK; the upstairs surrender chambers was renovated time ago with a/c and lots of reading info. Is a Singaporean national monument due to its historical importance. The star of this is the skywalk, accessible through a lift and offers great views of the beaches. Free attraction.Written 8 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- karenWellesbourne, UK3 contributionsThe beach is idyllic, beautiful white sands, warm sea and ultra clean.
Unfortunately as we dipped into the water, my daughter was stung by a jelly fish. There were signs warning this was a rare occurrence and if it happened to seek help from the beach patrol which we did.
David Hui was superb. He was remarkably quick to treat her and stayed with her continually tending to her stings until he was satisfied that she was comfortable. In total he stayed with us for 2-2.5 hours. We were really confident in him and he couldn’t have done more.Written 19 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lenny HAuckland, New Zealand952 contributionsEasy lift access to the top. Nice views. Cool breeze. All flat. And the best part is that it’s free. Definitely worth popping to the top even if you don’t want to explore the fort.Written 12 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SOH KIEN PENGSingapore, Singapore9,517 contributionsThe weather was scorching hot this afternoon when I headed for Sentosa. But Telok Blangah Hill Top and Mount Faber Park are endowed with dense green forest with tall shady trees that shielded me from the piercing ultraviolet rays. It was windy but amazingly deafening was the cicada vibrating loud noise as I strolled past the thick green vegetation by the hillside. The challenging uphill climbs from Depot Road up Henderson Waves and Marang Trail was exhilarating, exerting pressure on the heart to pump hard and I was perspiring.
After the boardwalk, I reached Resort World Station intending to board the Sentosa Express to Beach Station, but the queue for the monorail was terribly long. Today is a public holiday and Sentosa is flooded with crowd. I decided to walk to the beach. It was a very short walk passing by the newly opened Sentosa Sensory Scape. From Palawan Beach, I hopped on the free beach shuttle tram to Tanjong Beach.
Tanjong Beach seems similar to the other two beaches. But I did not see any suspension bridge here. There is a little island not far from the shore and people just swam over to the island. Quite a substantial number of picnickers brought along their pet dogs and strolled with their dogs along the beach. Many ignored NEA advice on the hot weather and lie down half naked directly under the scorching sun. The pulsating music from the beach club added vibrance to the beach scene. Many sat with their friends at umbrella shaded seats or mats beside swaying coconut trees hydrating themselves with beers and drinks. I like the party atmosphere here.
Took the tram back to Beach station and boarded the monorail back to Vivo City. Back at Mount Faber Peak, saw the latest chrome color and spherical shape 4th generation cable car moving towards the Peak. These latest cable cabins started taking passengers only recently on 20 Mar 2024 at the company 50th anniversary.
On reaching home, I realised my step tracker had clocked 25 thousand steps. So near yet so far.Written 29 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It sits between two beaches and is a nice break from walking along the beach.
The bridge itself isn't that wide, but two people could walk past each other easily.Written 17 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We tried both the karting and the giant swing, and it was an adrenaline-packed day from start to finish. The luge tracks were exciting with plenty of twists and turns, making the karting experience super fun for all ages. The giant swing was a thrill like no other, giving us an incredible rush as we soared high above with stunning views of Sentosa. The whole setup was well-organized, and the staff were friendly, adding to the overall great vibe. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun-filled adventure!Written 29 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lenny HAuckland, New Zealand952 contributionsA good place for a quick photo and then go. It’s not a nice beach to hang around on.
