Watched the show with Magician Adrian. The show was brilliant - ambience was nice, the host organised the show well and Comedians were great and it’s so different when you watch it live. Would most certainly watch again!!

I believe this is one of the slickest bars around the city and the cocktails here are simply delicious, sinful and always a party for the senses. I can always expect the coolest vibes here over some after-dinner drinks or just party away with pals and pull an all-nighter.

For starters, the cocktail selection is absolutely superb. I love that the bartenders are ever ready to customise to your whims and fancy, churning out fab concoctions like magicians. We’re talking personalised rum-based elixirs that are addictive and pack such a great punch!

In essence, 28HKS is intimate, lively and exclusive all at the same time. Tunes are amazing and conducive to some hearty conversation early evening and as the night progresses, a good dose of boisterous laughter. Service is always attentive from this passionate bunch of downright friendly and easy-going individuals. We’ve been lucky with our occasional impromptu walk-ins at this justifiably popular institution.

Finger food is the order of the day here and for a gal who hates her greens, I find myself hankering for a serving of brussels and bacon on each visit. It’s wolved down with as much gusto as the cheeseburger and reuben. Trust me, you’ll need your solids to stay vertical when you down their cocktails as fast as I do.

This hidden gem never disappoints and it’s become our fave over the last few months. It reminds me of the stylish speakeasy-inspired bars I loved in New York. Nothing run-of-the-mill here baby! It’s cool personified.

One of Singapore's first 'Chinese' themed chilled-out places with awesome live performances, lounge singing, and kitchen dining. "Bakkut-teh" was my favorite. Unfortunately, Dennis & Gordon Foo have to fold this place due to poor business & mounting costs. Looking forward to the revival of such chill places in Singapore.

A casual place to drop in and relax . There are very few places in Singapore which dish out regular comedy and “The Merry Lion” would be at the top . Most other places do it infrequently and commercially but you can be assured of Merry Lion doing it out of passion and it shows . Aidan Killian, the Irish bloke who runs it is an ex banker turned stand up and does a real neat job of getting great acts and keeping the place casual and fun . You might miss it as there is limited street signage but if you could make your way past the clawing bar girls and the smoky karaokes up to level 3 , you are in for a treat .

I felt that "old Zouk" was better, or maybe because we are used to the location?
Hence, food and drinks are still good and of course the music!!!!!

Singapore has the debatable distinction of being the most expensive city in the world. A visit to Maison du Whisky, shop cum bar, might convince you that it is. The place is pricey, very pricey. Then free lunches, or free whisky, especially good whisky, exists only in mythology, not in reality.

Maison du Whisky is a specialty store that doubles as a bar after 6 PM. They have a range of over 700 whiskies from which one could buy by bottle or savor by the glass. The staff is knowledgeable and is ready with help. I wanted a very peaty whiskey. And they produced an 18 year-old Laphroaig. Anyone interested in whisky knows Islay single malts such as Laphroaig is peaty. But this 18 year-old was something out of this world. It was pricey, but worth every S$ paid. The whisky came with water from Scotland in a tiny bottle complete with a small rubber-and-glass pipette! The original whisky bottle was kept in front of us in display. Against the shelf with rows upon rows of bottles, this one looked majestic.

Maison du is concentrating on whisky, all varieties, from many lands. They also offer other liquors: gin, rum, vodka, cognac, armagnac, tequila. They do not serve food. But this is Robertson Quay, Singapore, dotted with any number of eateries. We had dinner at one restaurant and strolled down for an after-dinner whisky experience. It proved to be a fulfilling, exquisite encounter. I recommend it to anyone having a little more than passing interest in whisky.

A delightfully situated restaurant next to the riverfront at Tempo in Grand Copthorne Hotel. Duty Managers Shabbary and Lynn were incredibly accomodating and friendly and helped sit us at a table with such a nice view. Waiter Kay and Patrick were also very helpful with food reccomendations and highlighted what promos were on offer so we opted for the Combo delight platter which includes duck confit, baby spring chicken, pork bratwurst and angus beef striploin - a meat lovers delight. The cheese and cold cuts were also great but lacking an amount of prosciutto though this hardly spoiled our time here and will be sure to be back again. Also be on the lookout for the group of otters that regularly pass on the riverfront. Service 10/10

My receipt is for Chuan grill and noodle and Tang Music box so I am a bit confused. Anyway, I went there in afternoon and ordered beef noodle soup with three kinds of beef. When it came it didn’t look like the picture and I was disappointed as it cost $20 - until I tasted it. It was wonderful, so tasty and the bits of beef were perfect. That broth was out of this world.
It’s right by the Quay and there’s outside tables. I’ll try and post photo later of their sign.

Let me preface this by saying I was here as a guest, so I have no idea what the cost is. But, song list is large, requesting is easy, 4 microphones were provided. Room included pool table and ample seating. Microphone quality was high (no feedback), and lyrics matched up well. Beer tower service was quick as well.

I love how this space consists of three floors with different music and their rooftop drinking area which is very chilling and spacious. The drinks are free flow all night vodka for ladies on wednesday!
