This shop is amazing filled with beautiful artwork / antiques. The sale consultants are very helpful and friendly. One could spend lot of time looking at the stuff they have in the shop. This shop is worth a visit to buy some amazing curios.

Serene music with calm atmosphere and traditional tea ceremony which was very interesting. Nice to learn about customs and meaning of each part of the ceremony. Highly recommend.

Visited Chinatown Street Markets whilst in Singapore, I have to say it's mostly generic stuff you can find anywhere, however, if you persevere you may find something special! There are some great restaurants with great food! Definitely worth a look!

Wonderful place! Have spent there over an hour discussing tea and tea drinking rituals, getting to learn new things, a bit of history and useful tips in preparation of the tea! The shop also has a great collection of tea pets, cups and teapots :) truly recommend visiting it while you are in Singapore - this was truly the highlight of the trip :) Thank you for the shop owners in having an enriching conversation, exchange of knowledge and shopping experience!

I recently made a last-minute decision to purchase a Rolex watch for my wife’s birthday, and I reached out to Kee Hing Hung’s Rolex boutique to inquire about availability. Joshua, the sales rep, answered my call and immediately impressed me with his attentiveness. He carefully noted my requirements and assured me that he would get in touch once a new batch of watches arrived.

True to his word, Joshua called me a few days later to inform me that they had received some ladies’ watches that matched my preferences. I visited the boutique the following day and was extremely pleased with the entire experience. Joshua’s professionalism stood out—he was friendly, patient, and clear in his explanations, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable.

Thanks to Joshua’s excellent service, I was able to secure the perfect watch just in time for my wife’s birthday. 👍🏻

What a find. Just saw it as we where walking along. It has a large range of items from the Tintin sage, watches, key rings, laminated posters, characters etc. They are reasonably priced and authentic.
You could pay more for some of the fakes I have seen in Hong Kong markets.
If your a fan and in Singapore a must see.

Harry accomplished the impossible, he made me look good.
4 pants, 2 Jackets, 10 shirts, 2 smart casual shirts, 1 suit, 14 ties and 10 pocket squares. The suit is a super 220 fabric, the pants and jackets are super 180. Shirts are Egyptian cotton, ties and squares are silk.
All in was about s$3000. I was quoted much more for much less by other tailors. Harry would not let anything leave the shop until it fit perfectly. Amazing. I am a customer for life. Also, he is a fine and lovely gentleman. The world could use more people full of kindness like Harry.
I’m proud to call Harry my new friend.
Tell Harry, Greg sent you. Ha. :-)

Cosy independent little bookstore on two floors in Duxton Road, Littered with Books has existed since 2014. I had completely overlooked it with my daughter in 2019 and visited it recently. The selection of titles is eclectic and not THAT large, but there's something for every taste. The personnel is very friendly - I got some good tips on which vinyl and second hand vinyl and CD stores to look out for...

Was looking to buy some tea but found it closed. The space is taken over by another business.

Anyone knows where they've moved to? Hope they're still around.

I was looking for some high quality gold jewelry because Singapore is one of the countries known for it. After getting pointers from the locals i stopped by the location in Chinatown.

Service was wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and not pushy at all.

Large selections of high quality pure gold and 916 gold. Designs are beautiful, craft is top notch.

My entire from selection to purchase process was seamless . At the end, my purchase information was already input into the tax refund system. It took me no effort to find my tax refund purchase at airport.

    Highly recommend by IG @WineDinenVacay

An interesting description of this 120 year-old shop in Chinatown, Singapore. Apart from the local Chinese, and even then, the older ones, most people do not know of this shop. Yet, it has been around for some 120 years, serving the local Chinese temples, providing them with the Gods (in a wooden form that some called it effigies but a more accurate term could be what the local Hokkiens call as "KimSin" (literal translation as gold body)). Every piece is manually and painstakingly carved and painted. Each representing a different God that a temple or a person might one for his or her home.

This shop which has a vast array of Gods that you will get to know, that are being worshiped in the local temples or homes is now in the hands of a 64 year-old-man and his 87 year-old mother. Watching the mother skilfully "threading" the body of the "kimsin" with thread made from dough which in turn comes from the ashes of the joss-sticks is a sight to behold.

These "kimsin" would have to be consecrated by a Taoist Priest or a Tangki (spirit medium) before it is considered to be "energised". Until then, it is just a carving, which could be purchased as a piece of art. Behind each of these carvings lies a rich legend.

    Seeing is believing.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration with the acupuncture services provided at your establishment, specifically at the Waterway Shopping Mall branch. My recent experience with your clinic has been deeply distressing and warrants urgent attention.

First and foremost, I must emphasize the detrimental effects of the acupuncture treatment I received. Despite opting for the services of a senior physician, for which I was charged additional fees, the treatment not only failed to alleviate my injuries but actually exacerbated them. Following the session, my pain intensified to the extent that I found it incredibly difficult to even lie down on my bed and sleep for five consecutive days. This prolonged agony necessitated seeking alternative treatment from a more affordable traditional Chinese medicine provider to rectify the injuries inflicted during my visit to your clinic.

The lack of post-treatment guidance or advice from your staff only compounded the distressing situation. It is incomprehensible that Eu Yan Sang would require customers to pay extra for the services of a senior physician, only to deliver substandard treatment that not only fails to address their concerns but also causes further harm. This practice not only lacks transparency but also demonstrates a disregard for the well-being of your clientele.

Furthermore, I must bring to your attention the unprofessional conduct exhibited by your receptionists at the Waterway Shopping Mall branch. Their impolite and arrogant demeanor towards customers further exacerbated the negative experience and is wholly unacceptable.

As a consumer, I expect to receive competent and compassionate healthcare services in a respectful environment. Regrettably, my recent encounter with Eu Yan Sang has failed to meet these basic expectations, leaving me deeply dissatisfied and disillusioned.

In light of these egregious shortcomings, I urge Eu Yan Sang to conduct a thorough review of its acupuncture services and customer service practices. Immediate action must be taken to rectify the issues highlighted and implement measures to ensure that similar incidents do not occur in the future.
