- Sarah CEast Kilbride, UK15 contributionsWe arranged a visit to the observation platform following a walk through gardens of the bay. Unfortunately we had just missed the light show. Tickets booked for 8.30pm arrived no queue and straight up in the lift . Timing was perfect as it was fairly quiet and we were able to walk around with no problem.
Managed to catch the later light show of gardens by the bay however the music did not travel and I do feel to get the best you need to be in the centre of it . The first part (red line) was very nice and earplugs gave us info on the city. We were taken off and went on the (yellow) line. The bus had advertisement screens on the windows that blocked our sight seeing. They also kept putting more people on that had no seat. Very chaotic!Terrible. She was up to the task and took us to some special places - those hidden gems - that give you more insight into the lives of those who live in Singapore. It was a special experience. - EcoBeanMalaysia419 contributionsAn expensive way to see the skyline. Yes, the views are spectacular but not much else to do up here. This is on floor 56 (not 57 as described). There is very little seating on the deck, the kiosk selling drinks & “gourmet” snacks is over priced and not much of a selection, charging S$15 for a small plastic cup (about half a pint) of beer, and food is either popcorn or fries. Defo not gourmet. The light show of the garden of the bay is free to view from the Towers, & barely audible/visible, up on the 56th floor so you’d have to leave the observation deck anyway.
