We did this walk at night. It was a lovely atmosphere with the trees all lit up. It was easy to find from the Gardens by the Bay SMRT station.

My husband wanted to visit this well hidden gem. I wasn’t keen…but having been persuaded I’d go again. Absolutely fascinating!

Situated next to the Maxwell MRT and the Maxwell Food Centre is this oasis of peace. We walked into this temple without knowing its significance. But when we entered it, we suddenly felt a feeling of inner bliss which lasted even after we walked out. The many stories of the Buddha depicted on the walls in the form of statues were quite illuminating. Finally, we reached the main prayer hall, where despite us, we folded our hands and prostrated before the idol. What an elevating experience!

I only visited the permanent exhibition and found it an interesting way to spend a few hours.

The history of Singapore, from the colonial days through to independence was well told through a combination of artefacts and interactive media.

Museums can be a bit overwhelming at times, so I chose to join one of their volunteer docent led guided tours. I am glad I did it. He brought the story of the artifacts to life, helping us gain a better understand of what they were, how they got there etc. etc. Very much appreciated.

I found this place to be quite Humbling, the stories and conditions of the people that were locked up here will really put it all into perspective.
As an avid military history buff this place was a must see on our trip to Singapore, and I am so glad we made time for a visit. The museum itself is small, but full of interesting displays and information. You could skim though in 30minutes or take your time read and study the information which took us 3 hours. A number of touch screens around full of information give it a modern feel, the museum itself is going with the times and moving to cashless, so bring a credit/debit card.
Overall, we found the museum to be an extremely moving place, I didn't feel right to take photos of anything inside the museum I was that moved. It's very informative on the area and the events that happened there. Its location is tucked into a corner of the New Changi prison and close to Changi airport. A bus stops right out front running both ways so easy to go there and back from wherever you came from. Small restaurant next to the museum is a nice outdoor undercover area to relax. Johore Battery is a 1 km walk around the corner.

I’d strongly recommend the National Gallery for those who appreciate art and architecture. Each work is accompanied with a write-up in English, but even if you’re not interested in reading, there’s plenty of art to visually take in.

Your ticket should allow you access to multiple exhibitions, including those on Singapore’s art history, Southeast Asian art through the last few decades, and a couple more that are regularly rotated throughout the year. Tickets are also free for locals, which is awesome! Do look up the exhibitions prior to coming down, in case some are closed in preparation for the next installation.

The gallery isn’t too crowded - I went down on a Sunday afternoon and had lots of space to myself. If you intend on carefully going through pretty much every art piece, I suggest you dedicate a full day here (or more). Otherwise, an afternoon should be sufficient for a simple walk-through of the various exhibitions.

This was a great way to see the soul of Singapore--to see that it is more than just fancy shiny buildings, but that it has a rich historical culture. Highly recommend.

We love learning about the history of the countries and cities we are in and once again we were not disappointed. Priscilla's historical knowledge was amazing.

An easy, fun indoor attraction to escape the humidity. Lots of interactive immersive activities aimed at kids but adults could also enjoy. We only visited Future World which was perfect for our family of kids aged 8,10 and 14.

Probably the best mall along orchard road, and rivals the marina bay sands mall. It has all the luxury and non luxury shopping you would ever want, and more. Many restaurants and cafes as well of course. Plus art galleries, singapore airlines office, and ATMs

Not an art gallery; instead, this is where the city planners hang out. There's a lot of interesting information here: interesting old maps showing how Singapore has developed, and interactive displays outlining how Singapore deals with practical issues such water supply, waste services, etc.

The most dramatic exhibit is a scale model of the city centre that's metres across - has to be seen to be believed.
