Visited the Customer Show Asia 2023 exhibition at Hall 404. Wonderful learning experience with the many booths displaying digital solutions for customer service. Freshworks introduced me to omni-channels with AI powered chatbots. Vonage touched on managing from one inbox and engage and convert customers on their preferred channels be it facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, SMS, etc. Foodbank enlightens me on their mission and vision. Zapkad spoke on digital business card. Holord impressed me with their AI avatar. There were many others. It was a one stop service platform to update oneself. on the latest development in customer service delivery.

In the morning, one speaker touched on 'Customer First, Digital First and Continuous Improvement'. Digitalisation has found its way into customer service and it is imperative for business to be innovative and stay ahead through digital First and tapping on AI and data analyltics capability.

The lunch was sumptuous and delicious. Excellent work by the event organiser.

Seminars and exhibitions are the best platform to update one's knowledge on the latest development in a particular field. Today, I had the opportunity to attend the Singapore Police WorkPlan Seminar and Exhibition 2023 at the Singapore EXPO and updated my knowledge on the latest trend in policing and crime control.

The spacious exhibition hall showcased the latest technological enhancement that SPF has embraced and embarked to prepare herself to meet the future challenges in policing. The new `Ang Chia' Tactical Vehicle is more nimble and is equipped with sirens, blinkers and strobe light to enhance its presence. The Next-Generation Fast Response Car is equipped with in-house video recording system, Automated Number Plate recognition system and the Integrated Vehicular Dashboard to improve officers' operational effectiveness and safety. Drones were also deployed in search, enforcement operations, crowd management and aerial patrols. Robots would be deployed for future community engagement and attend to general queries from public. Game machines would appear in events for anti-scam education through games. Intelligent driving circuits will eventually replace the work of driving testers in practical driving tests.

SPF is always forward looking and future ready. However, technology enhancement must always be complemented by public trust which is the core pillar in successful policing as reiterated by Minister for Home Affairs in his speech. Without public trust and confidence, policing would be like fishes struggling to survive without the ocean of water that sustained them.

The brunch is sumptuous and the venue was ideal for interaction with other officers from other units. This is the right place for SPF to hold such a private event and had the space to display all the tactical vehicles, equipment and gadgets. It is also within walking distance from the EXPO mrt station and the car parks are directly in front of the seminar hall.
