What travellers are saying
- Gan H5 contributionsIt is so rare to find teppanyaki in Singapore that we decided to book the whole counter for teppanyaki when we found out the club started one. The teppanyaki did not disappoint under Chef Tommy Yeo’s superb cooking skills. The food quality was exceptional and the taste excellent. Highlights of the meal include scallops (cooked al dente) and beef. Will be back!Written 4 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AugustSingapore, Singapore330 contributionsTired of the CNY Lo Hei and buddies opted for a Western twist to the gathering. Its been quite a few years since I last dined at SCC Terrace Cafe and the favorite food like Fish&Cips, Beef Burger, Fried Chicken Wings, ...etc. remain good like before, price reasonable n friendly waitresses... Great Night out!Written 16 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Pervin DMumbai, India633 contributionsBesides playing golf I have had several dinners and lunches at this beautiful club and have not only enjoyed the dining experience but loved the food. Their chinese food is delicious and has a variety of options to choose from. Also they have a well stocked bar with party rooms. The staff is friendly and makes the overall experience a memorable one.Written 12 September 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Harrison W1 contributionClubhouse SG is a standout! The golf simulators are top-notch using GC Hawks in comparison to other venues like this which provide far more reliable and accurate data, the Food is fantastic and very affordable. From excellent service to a great atmosphere, every detail impresses. Perfect for a day out with friends or professional practice. In particular Fritz, and Ben have been incredibly helpful and friendly throughout the many occasions I have visited. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys golf and good food! Will be back soon.Written 14 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- HyorinSingapore, Singapore11 contributionsThe ground is very good and the length is good for children and adults. It's mostly par 3 and 4. If you like golf and want to practice, this is for you. However, we started at 5 and we have done 9 holes but it became very dark around 7 so we ended at hole 8.Written 21 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Melvin ChenSingapore, Singapore189 contributionsA neat but challenging Golf course with 9 holes but different sets of tees and some double greens to create a 18 hole setting. conditions are nice with cowgrass and greens roll well. The course is short but tricky , don't underestimate the course and it will take several times to get used to the bounces and roll around the fairways and greens!Written 18 July 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - What We Found TravellingSydney, Australia8,051 contributionsWe had a lot of fun playing this hilly tight tricky course. It’s the type of course that you need to have local knowledge to score well. Now that we’ve played it we’ll be back to improve our scores as we know where to put the ball.
The course condition was ok, but probably not as good as MBGC.
Cost for 18 holes was $189 AUD which included a cart. They allowed us to use the showers & change rooms afterwards.
We also enjoyed a lovely lunch on the terrace in the Red Lantern restaurant.
We emailed the club to arrange our game & they were more than happy to accommodate us.Written 10 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. However government has taken back the golf course and I believe we have limited time to play the course before it's turned into a commercial development.
So pls go and try this course if you have a chanceWritten 8 November 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Visitors to Singapore can berth their boats here as guests. A less expensive option that others in the south and south-west. Typically, my friends would stay a day or two before they moved their boats to Johor or Riau. The club handles all CIQ matters. Unless you are a boater or has a car, no tourists are likely to come to this end of Ponggol. A walk along the broadwalk during sunset is a nice experience though. I like the idea of living on a boat. Cheaper than staying in a mortgaged home. In the morning, one could have kaya toast at Ah Lok, and sunset or evening seafood at the pier bar. There are also wakeboarding sports and fishing operators to the Malacca Straits or South China Sea. This marina is not your typical see and go place of interest. Idea: One could host seafood BBQ dinners for business guests to take in the niche seclusion. However shiuttle bus will have to be arranged. This is not the best marina that I have been to in the rest of the world.Written 12 November 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Safari403028031081 contributionI'm not a golfer, but my husband is so I thought I should take some lessons and become the wife he always wished I was - haha. However, the thought of being bad at something and doing it outside in Singapore's crazy heat didn't really appeal to me. Step in Coach Richard at FiveIron. Wahoo! I've now taken two lessons with a friend and we've had an absolute blast. I don't whiff the ball either! I've actually learned to hit. Fore! Coach Richard has made it really fun for both of us newbies and the location is great. The screens are gorgeous fun - and there's even a bar there (I'm thinking about having a party there even!) I am actually enjoying golf, something I never thought I'd say... can't wait for my next lesson!Written 25 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kym RSingapore, Singapore112 contributionsI took advantage of the TBG&CC promotion which included unlimited golf, cart, caddy and ferry tickets to try a new course only 30 minutes from Singapore. It was well worth it.
The Greg Norman course is very well established and shows his trademark bunkers (80+ and in two rounds I saw a lot of them) and it was in very good condition. There were not a lot of players, perhaps due to Ramadan, so progress was quick.
My caddy was great and knew the greens well. On the subject of greens they were in the middle of coring and top dressing so some were a challenge however those that had not been set upon were true and quick.
The pick up arrangements went smoothly and the staff were friendly and helpful and the online booking people (Anggela deserves mention) were very good.
All in all, even though the club house is a little tired it certainly represented excellent value for money.

The trip was tailored to my group of 5 ladies including 4 above 55, hence it was customised so that each day was not too strenuous and we requested the daily activity allowed us the appropriate acclimatisation and sufficient time for us to enjoy the journey and scenery. Boy, it indeed exceeded our expectations! Throughout the trek we were very well taken care of by the team led by Anil, our guide. The team, including the asst guide Kushi and 3 porters, paid close attention to our every need, boiled water to make sure it was fit for our consumption, brought extra food like luncheon meat fruits etc, even made beverages along the hike to allow us mini picnic! We were spoilt.. the hike itself was tough yet it was enjoyable, we took in the beautiful scenery and enjoyed the yummy food. A huge thank you to Ganga, Anil and the team in making it a truly unforgettable trip.Written 9 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
