I rode the cable car just for fun up to Mount Faber, over to Sentosa, then back to the mainland. I didn't see much of anything on Sentosa that I really needed to see, but it was nice riding the cable cars. We also did the upgrade to a SkyOrb and was kind of cool. None of them were air conditioned, so it was hot.

We wanted to do a hike in Singapore and decided on Mt.Faber as it would give us views to the south.
A taxi ride will get you there, we started our hike from the cable car station. We enjoyed walking through the leafy canopy, spying birds and little squirrels along the way, via Henderson Waves to Alkaff Mansion where we enjoyed a cool drink on the verandah.
We walked back via Faber Point, where there are great views.

It’s hot and sticky but it is well worth it for the views!

The bridge is so unique it’s great to see the architecture. It offers lovely views of Singapore.

    Well worth the effort!

We would thoroughly recommend booking a tour to see NUS Baba House, a restored Peranakan house. The tour starts at 10am & they request you arrive beforehand. The area around this house is also Peranakan, so worth a mooch. The tour was about an hour but the guide made it so interesting & informative. I would say the best tour we have taken across SE Asia.

We disembarked in Singapore from our Celebrity Solstice Asia cruise. Everything went smoothly and efficiently because we only had carry-ons so we were off the ship and out in a taxi 15 minutes later! The terminal was very clean.

We caught the train to the Labrador MRT, then walked through the Labrador Nature Reserve, along the Bukit Chermin Boardwalk, past the Reflections complex, and on to the Harbour Front Centre. A very pleasant walk.

As the first public housing project, Tiong Bahru has a lower population density compared to the newer housing projects.
I made a visit to this charming estate on Raya Haji.
Fortunately it was a clear day and Tiong Bahru's whitewashed, three-storey apartments looked splendid in the sunlight.

I didn't manage to find many murals, but I will be back to look for them!

HarbourFront Centre adjoins neighbouring Vivo City shopping centre, and is a large shopping centre with a wide variety of shops catering to all tastes. There are more generic and cheaper brands on sale here at HarbourFront.

It’s worthwhile if you’re visiting VivoCity and heading to Sentosa, unless it’s not really worth going out of your way.

The Academy of Singapore Teachers is just beside Gillman Barracks. I came here to use the co-work office and found it to be conducive.

Library, pantry, track field and office all in one. When hungry, one can just buy something to bite from the pantry which is co-located within the library.

Tired looking at the computer screen, one can take also take a breather and just browse at the books in the library or go for a jog or stroll at the track field just located outside the office.

I walked over here from my house but one can also drive in. Free parking in the compound for those who have access to the co-work office.

    Nice and immersive.

Things got off to a terrible start.

When I booked my family's tickets about a month before, the documents stated that we were supposed to board the ferry at the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. When I went on their website a few days before we were due to go on our trip to check on the travel restrictions and required documents, I realised to my shock that they have changed the boarding to Harbourfront, and that my original ferry timings have all been changed. Nobody bothered to inform me or offered to rebook my ferry timings even though the change had already been effect for at least two weeks!

I texted them to ask, and Yeni replied and also helped with all the necessary arrangements. Yeni was apologetic and helpful, and single-handedly saved the ferry company a 1-star review.

The rest of the experience was largely uneventful - maybe because I learned to manage my expectations. The ferry from Singapore was about 20 minutes late, and the one departing Batam was late by almost 40 minutes. I was kind of expecting those, so managed to take these in stride.

The queues to collect tickets was long, and boarding was somewhat messy with absolutely no queue management, but again, it was as I expected. Many passengers also went the entire ride with masks off.

The ferry ride itself was reasonably comfortable.

Initially the staff member made me very comfortable. Then after awhile they were able to tell me the background of some of the items I was looking at. So helpful.
I think their prices are good and they could organise delivery.

I was at Don Don Donki (Northpoint Branch) on 04/01/2025 with my family. I was waiting for the Don Don Donki Takoyaki to be out so that I can purchase it to make Takoyaki pizza for my friend's housewarming. I waited patiently for around 30 minutes. Mdm Tan Keng Tee (Kitchen Staff - from Northpoint Branch) have noticed me been standing at the same area for very long. She is friendly, cheerful and came forward to approach me, asking me how can she help me. I shared with her that I am waiting patiently for the Takoyaki. Upon hearing it, she immediately went to help me get 2 boxes from the kitchen and passed it to me. Her kind gesture for the customer in her extra miles really warmth and touches my heart. She is a value asset to the company. Please help me express my sincere gratefulness to her. Because of her, I will patron more frequent to Don Don Donki (Northpoint Branch). Thank you.

Ok, one very important thing I like to highlight first on the Travel insurance bought with the ferry ticket.
Take super care that eTiQa Go-Ferry Insurance provide only the very miniumium coverage. Refer to the attached picture.
The Medical Expenses incurred cover only when you are OVERSEAS.
They do not cover medical claim when you are back LOCAL.
SO, I THINK IT IS NOT WORTH.
    BUY YOU OWN INSURANCE ELSEWHERE.

Majestic Fast Ferry Service is good both on board and at counter. They could provide a better service if they also issue returning ticket before leaving Singapore.
