The museum is definitely worth a visit. There is a lot of well curated history of Singapore displayed. The ship wreck part was surely the highlight, I did enjoy the religion display as well. The inconvenience was that there were school children visiting and having a class there. Whilst I appreciate that they benefit from this kind of activity, they were terribly noisy and it did affect the experience.

Bloody lovely! Make sure you go! Perfect suffix to a morning in the gallery, you can even allow yourself a tiny bit of acceptable day drinking

Grand complex of buildings now serving as restaurants and a function Centre. It dates to 1854 with the purchase of Caldwell House. The Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus chapel was completed in 1903 and consecrated the following year. Saint Nicholas Girls' School was established in 1933 in four old houses+ which were replaced by a three storey building in 1951. The complex ceased to function in 1983 and the chapel deconsecrated. Today's facilities are the result of extensive restorations undertaken between 1991 - 1996 when the complex became a location for bars, restaurants and function centre. When we visited a wedding was underway in the former chapel.

Pleasant and quite large park at the back of the Merlion. There are some war memorials. There is also good views of the city hall building. There are lots of benches to sit

This centre has the high end brands like Chanel on the upper levels. But if you take the escalator downstairs you have food areas and a range of much cheaper shops.
It also give you access to the MTR and lets you walk via tunnels, with shops, all the way to Suntech undercover. So heat, its got a/c nor rain will effect you.
Two pubs side by side at the outer rim are also go for food or a beer. German one a bit more expensive but more choice and you can watch the world go by.

This was a lovely old building over which we had excellent views from our hotel room. The tennis courts, cricket and football fields, bowling green looked well used.

Beautiful cathedral not too far from the Merlion Park, it was a nice walk in this area, worth the stop and some peace and quiet inside to enjoy the historical church.

There was some construction around the perimeter, so it took us a minute to find the entrance in. We walked right by the car entrance gate. We enjoyed the stained glass work inside, as well as the beautiful arch entrance.

Near the entrance there was a really nice and clean restroom facility. Definitely worth our brief visit.

This is the oldest bridge in Singapore. It is well maintained and a convenient route to visit the sights on foot.

Victoria Theatre & Victoria Concert Hall is a very stately and elegant historical building with a British colonial clock tower. Magnificent architecture.

I like this mall. Lits of electronics and household appliance stores. Like Sim Lim but more polished.

The mall is linked to the City Hall MRT station albeit it's a relatively long walk between the two locations.

I particularly like the small restaurants on the 2nd floor i.e. Funan Delibowl and Kebabs Faktory. They are unique and halal too. Having said that there are plenty other halal options on B1 and B2 floors. One will be spoiled for choice here.

Some beautiful contemporary art…plus I discovered a new (to me) artist, Patrick Rubinstein. Also plenty of old favourites like Murakami and Mr Brainwash. Jimin was a lovely guide. A must stop gallery.

My wife was keen to sample the original Singapore Sling cocktail. You certainly pay for the experience at $38 each. However my wife certainly had no problem enjoying & savouring it. We chose to sit outside at Raffles Terrace as the queue for The Long Bar was quite a wait and no problem being shown to a table straight away outside. Service was great and given a large bowl of monkey nuts to enjoy also. Definitely worth an explore of the hotel to take in the splendor.

Very picturesque and colourful. WOW, colourtful as kids' toys. Was the building this colourful when it was a police station? It's best seen at night when lit up with dazzling lights.

Although one floor is closed for a new display I still found this a worthwhile stop. To see so many toys in one place is just amazing.
A bar on the top floor is great for a cold drink.
