Loved this beautiful garden especially the orchid garden which needs to pay a few SGD, there are so many different species of orchids , and the environment is so nice and relaxing.

We did this walk at night. It was a lovely atmosphere with the trees all lit up. It was easy to find from the Gardens by the Bay SMRT station.

In summary- waterfall/atrium is impressive and a must see. Rest of Jewel is an expensive mall that can be skipped. Plan your visit strategically if an airport passenger or you can get stuck on the wrong side of the glass or dealing with luggage hassle.

The waterfall atrium is impressive, no question that you need to see it if you are in Singapore or passing through Changi Airport. HOW you visit it is the difference in experience. The Jewel is really the waterfall/atrium surrounded by a giant mall that attracts what feels like half of Singapore. So the bulk of the people there will be locals slowly wandering around a mall, not travelers lugging their suitcases.

The suspended walkway, hedge maze, canopy climb and anything else they can think of is now a ticketed experience (quite expensive for the relative product). All the stores in the mall are high-end, not sure why any traveler would want to actually shop there, but the locals do.

The Jewel is outside immigration, so A) if you are transiting Changi Airport, you actually have to leave to visit the atrium, otherwise the best you can do is the SkyTrain which passes through the atrium (T1-T2 or T1-T3). Make sure you have the necessary time and paperwork to do so. B) if you are staying in Singapore, visit the Jewel before you head into the Terminal and pass through immigration. This can be done by early bag drop at Changi L1 (only if traveling to an approved country, and USA isn't one of them) or by visiting the Jewel without dragging your luggage along (think of it as a tourist attraction and go hands free) or be prepared for a TON of hassle dragging your luggage around.

We made the mistake of going hours before our flight, only to find we couldn't drop our luggage at the Jewel Early Check-in because USA isn't approved by Singapore Airlines for it. So luggage storage cost us S$40 for 3 pieces. The bridge from Jewel to T3 for example is VERY VERY long and crowded with locals connecting from the MRT. It was a huge pain and Changi signage actually was surprisingly lacking.

Light show was nothing special. Go see Spectra at the Marina instead.

Chinatown in Singapore is exactly what one would expect of a Chinatown in Singapore….loud, busy, interesting, overwhelming. Definitely worth the visit.

We spent half a day and it was worth the experience. The trail is designed thoughtfully and conveniently that you would want to explore it more. Properly signed and ample resting spots, photography spots and widened trails makes the trail one of the best in Singapore.

Situated next to the Maxwell MRT and the Maxwell Food Centre is this oasis of peace. We walked into this temple without knowing its significance. But when we entered it, we suddenly felt a feeling of inner bliss which lasted even after we walked out. The many stories of the Buddha depicted on the walls in the form of statues were quite illuminating. Finally, we reached the main prayer hall, where despite us, we folded our hands and prostrated before the idol. What an elevating experience!

The architecture of this building is stunning, see it from a distance to get the best image. It's possible to take the elevator to the 57th floor and get a great view from the top.

A must visit if you are in Singapore. Quick 30 minute time spent here is all you need and is worth the photo op. Recommend to come in the day but avoid the heat between 1pm and 3pm.

What Singapore is about. Relaxed, casual, sophisticated and busy.

Great place to eat and drink and take in the riverside.

The place where many will have their fondest memories of Singapore.

If you have some time, wandering around Haji Lane is definitely worth it. There are brightly painted murals on the buildings, wonderful displays in windows and really interesting shopping venues and bar. We were there during the day, so the crowds were managable…but we’ve heard that at night it can be exceptionally packed, so be warned.

Went around 7 PM on a Monday and a lot of things were closed already, which was super disappointing because according to Google maps, Maxwell doesn't close until 2 AM. I guess it really just depends on the stall and if they sell out. We ate a couple of skewers and some fresh fruit juices just to hold us over.

We came back here the same night at around 11:30 for a midnight snack and almost everything was closed. We ended up getting food from this one stall with a massive line. We found out they had a massive line because it was one of the only ones left that was still selling food. It was a stall selling wantan mee, which wasn't bad.

The one we wanted to check out - Tian Tian Chicken Rice, was already closed at that time. Luckily, our hotel was only about a 10 minute walk away so we came back early on another day and there was no line for it. That was around 9:30 in the morning, and on the flip side - I noticed a lot of stalls weren't open yet. That being said, they probably stagger their opening times based on their competition/clientele? But I don't know, that could be a Mel fact.

Definitely worth checking out a few times (only if you're staying nearby. If not, you should probably only come once and it should be early for Tian Tian) because it seems if you come at different times, different stalls will be open.

For those who want to hike without experiencing a rugged terrain should visit this 10km trail. Trail connects Mount Faber and West Coast. Great vantage points of the city and the Southern Islands.

The park that you can go anytime. I did a solo Yoga session on one of the evenings near the beach (free of charge) and felt great as people jog and skate further away. Hardly get distracted but air and wind was good. Some folks were just enjoying the breeze on chairs.

The Helix bridge is definitely worth a walk across. It takes you directly into the Marina market and provides great viewing of the Singapore skylight. Make sure that you notice the A,T,G and C’s on the bridge (representing the 4 proteins that make up our DNA) that light up at
