- TyJ01Plano, TX111 contributionsThis experience was awesome! The driver to and from Leon was awesome and friendly. I met up with another group for the sand boarding portion. The guide and driver were both phenomenal, making sure everyone was doing well on the hike, given the heat and humidity.
My driver was very gracious in allowing me some extra time to go into the cathedral in Leon, and explore the area.

He was prompt picking us up and that is important to me. The car was very clean and we felt safe the entire time. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Nicaragua and the places he took us and he was very personable. I also really appreciate how respectful he was of my daughter being very polite and opening her door when we stopped. We stopped in Granada where we visited a cacao making shop. The smell was amazing and it was a great experience. We then went to the market and learned some history and grabbed souvenirs. Next we headed to this massive lake and hung on the beach for a moment while he shared more knowledge of Nicaragua. Next it was off to the boat ride. We learned about the many islands on the lake, who owned them, and the history of a few. After that it was off to the lagoon. This was my favorite part. The lagoon was absolutely beautiful. Me and my daughter took a short horseback ride and Anthony took some amazing candid pics for us. We grabbed a couple more souvenirs and headed back. We were extremely pleased with the tour and our Guide. - ChaseSalt Lake City, UT2 contributionsMe and one other traveler booked a last second tour with ShowMeNicaragua for the last day of our trip in Nicaragua. We were picked up and dropped off in San Juan Del Sur and were able to see Granada, Masaya Volcano, Laguna Apoyo, Masaya Handcraft market, and more all in ONE DAY. We are grateful to have had Julio and Caleb as our tour guides. They were fluent in English (which was needed because we speak very little Spanish), knowledgeable, easy going, and overall great guys. This was more than a tour and more like a flexible experience in which we could spend more time in the areas that we were most interested in. This day long experience was the perfect ending to our trip in Nicaragua. We will certainly reach out for tours and airport transportation when we are in Nicaragua next. She also took us to a really nice local restaurant we wouldnt find on our own. We contacted Lucía about a year ago. We kept changing our plans, and while most people would have gotten frustrated and given up on us, Lucía never did. Finally, when we were ready to come to Nicaragua, we decided to only book a day tour of Managua and deal with other activities once we arrived. Again, Lucia stuck with us. We had a great tour of Managua, and she even had the driver take us to Granada.
Once in Nicaragua, we decided to go to Little Corn Island. We reached out to Lucia, and in a matter of hours, she had a great 3-night trip planned for us.
The trip was great and went off like clockwork. At least we thought so. Apparently, something was not up to Lucia’s quality. We did not notice, but since she was not happy when we returned to Granada, she offered us a day tour of the White Village. All to make up for an issue we did not even know was an issue. The transportation, accommodations, and guides were all top-notch from our perspective. We highly recommend Vapues Travel for your next visit to Nicaragua.

- Marco RBraga, Portugal11 contributionsWhat a great way to discover Nicaragua for the first time. I started my day at dawn so I could enjoy the sunrise at Lake Cocibolca on a boat trip. Then I enjoyed a typical dish in Grenada. We visited Monbacho Vulcan a natural reserve whose landscape, vegetation and fauna is amazing. And finally I chilled in Laguna de Apoyo, swimming and kayakink in the warm waters of this lake on a crater volcano. My tout was entirely tailored for me according to my availability and envies.
