- TyJ01Plano, TX111 contributionsThis experience was awesome! The driver to and from Leon was awesome and friendly. I met up with another group for the sand boarding portion. The guide and driver were both phenomenal, making sure everyone was doing well on the hike, given the heat and humidity.
My driver was very gracious in allowing me some extra time to go into the cathedral in Leon, and explore the area.

We contacted LucĂa about a year ago. We kept changing our plans, and while most people would have gotten frustrated and given up on us, LucĂa never did. Finally, when we were ready to come to Nicaragua, we decided to only book a day tour of Managua and deal with other activities once we arrived. Again, Lucia stuck with us. We had a great tour of Managua, and she even had the driver take us to Granada.
Once in Nicaragua, we decided to go to Little Corn Island. We reached out to Lucia, and in a matter of hours, she had a great 3-night trip planned for us.
The trip was great and went off like clockwork. At least we thought so. Apparently, something was not up to Lucia’s quality. We did not notice, but since she was not happy when we returned to Granada, she offered us a day tour of the White Village. All to make up for an issue we did not even know was an issue. The transportation, accommodations, and guides were all top-notch from our perspective. We highly recommend Vapues Travel for your next visit to Nicaragua.

We booked on the Viator website a daytour with the Arenal 1968 hike before lunch and the Hanging Bridges hike in the afternoon. This tour was done with Ecoterra, and our guide Francisco.
We were very happy about this decision and Francisco showed us e.g. a Mossy Mantis, a baby tarantula, a tiny blue jeans frog, a poisonous yellow snake on a leave below a Hanging Bridge,
a pair of tucans and together we spotted some other creatures. He was equipped with a professional camera and because of this he could take pictures even when dawn was coming up.
Finally he transferred his pictures on our cell phones and my wife and me were dropped off at our hotel. Pls make sure that all your important issues for a daytour will be covered by the agency and their tour operator.

- Marco RBraga, Portugal10 contributionsWhat a great way to discover Nicaragua for the first time. I started my day at dawn so I could enjoy the sunrise at Lake Cocibolca on a boat trip. Then I enjoyed a typical dish in Grenada. We visited Monbacho Vulcan a natural reserve whose landscape, vegetation and fauna is amazing. And finally I chilled in Laguna de Apoyo, swimming and kayakink in the warm waters of this lake on a crater volcano. My tout was entirely tailored for me according to my availability and envies. - PhoenixTravels7 contributionsAn absolutely "AMAZING" day trip. My guides Kevin and Eliazer were superb. Their knowledge of history and sense of humor kept me completely entertained. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much. I would take another tour with this company just to have them as my guides. They picked me up on time and were excellent at taking pictures and videos which I really appreciated since I tend to post my trips on Instagram. They also gave me lots of suggestions about other places to visit in Nicaragua. It was truly a memorable day. Thank you Kevin and Eliazer. You guys are the best. We were in Nicaragua for 3 days and wanted to make the most of it and we arranged a private tour with them the day before we reached hoping to get a great experience however it was trip of hell. The car had no air conditioning and it was 34* C and we sat roasting for 10 hours. On top of all it was liking taking a taxi as the guide had no information or knowledge of what to show and talk of interest about the places we were visiting let alone Nicaragua. So for 20 hours we sat in the heat going to one of the most beautiful town and knowing nothing. We were also keen to explore another town with this company the next day however since after sharing the feedback with the owner Mike / Peter about our day and getting no response we decided to drop them. I am avid traveller having visited 50 countries this was a very poor experience of Nicaragua and not only just Managua. We burned our money and hands with this tour company. I would say that there are direct local companies or via your hotel that can book this tour for you at likely a better price and all the cost goes directly to the local operator.
