- jungle1954Hamburg, Germany70 contributionsWe made the hike on the Mistic Hanging Bridges Tour. We booked on the Viator website a daytour with the Arenal 1968 hike before lunch and the Hanging Bridges hike in the afternoon. This tour was done with Ecoterra, and our guide Francisco.
We were very happy about this decision and Francisco showed us e.g. a Mossy Mantis, a baby tarantula, a tiny blue jeans frog, a poisonous yellow snake on a leave below a Hanging Bridge,
a pair of tucans and together we spotted some other creatures. He was equipped with a professional camera and because of this he could take pictures even when dawn was coming up.
Finally he transferred his pictures on our cell phones and my wife and me were dropped off at our hotel. Pls make sure that all your important issues for a daytour will be covered by the agency and their tour operator.

Learned alot about the history of the country and saw a variety of areas of Managua.
Many positive changes are happening in Managua and I would definitely like to return and bring my family with me.

I was so impressed with the variety and charm of hotels that were selected, from a former convent to beach-side hotels to the charming Casa Marimba on Laguna de Apoyo to the delightful accommodations on Ometepe.
The staff at Vapues went above and beyond as travel plans changed and had to be adjusted. The Guides and Drivers were so knowledgeable and helpful as I peppered them with questions. I learned so much about the country’s history.
Oscar and Juan get high-fives for their kindness and humor to a senior citizen from California.

It was me and bae and it was great bc it’s a private tour so we could get to know each better with less distractions. Our tour guides were sweet and patient. I love taking pictures so they waited whenever I wanted to stop for photo ops. The chocolate factory was delicious. The lake was beautiful. The town was colorful and the volcano was crazy. Although I thought we would get a closer view like how I’ve heard it described in Hawaii. But I still could see the lava with their provided binoculars and they provided a selfie stick!! I would say that there are direct local companies or via your hotel that can book this tour for you at likely a better price and all the cost goes directly to the local operator.
