A must. Hugely recommended- even if it’s the only “thing” you do whilst in Panama City, do it!
I’m a complete beginner… but spent the hour lesson laughing and dancing and having SUCH a fun time. They do lessons in loads of cool locations including open air rooftop bars in cacao Viejo.
Felt like I was learning a little bit of culture, much more fun than a museum!

Very good experience with this organization. My wife, two children ( ages 13 and 10) and I were in Panama for just a few days. I was hoping to do some diving while we were there but I was the only certified diver in the family. I emailed with Scuba Panama and they informed me of the intro to diving program that allowed non-certified divers to do a one tank dive in very shallow water. Being in a new country and doing something like scuba diving with novice divers, I had some apprehension, but we went for it and everyone is grateful that we did. They picked us up at the hotel at 9 o'clock and drove us to the Caribbean it. It took about an hour and 40 minutes to get to the office and we did about a half hour of land instruction and then an hour of in water exercises like mask clearing and regulator breathing. After that we were off to a reef protected island where our family had two instructors for a very clear, maximum of twenty foot dive (about 25 minutes). My kids did great and my youngest was able to dive with a tank and BCD. We headed back to the facility for lunch and then even stopped by the ruins in portobelo before heading home. Really glad we did the trip -people and facilities were great!
