I will call him The Sloth Whisperer, as he spotted them up in trees while driving! This tour does a fast small boat ride by Monkey Island and along some of the big ships.

- TPR11051 contributionThe tour itself was wonderful! Piggybacked a freighter, and actually went thru the canal, experiencing the locks, the narrative/info about history, events... as we moved from thru the canal was wonderful.
What was awful was the pick up at the hotel! Was given a pick up window of between 5:30 - 6:30AM is most inconsiderate! Was staying nearby so walked to Waldorof Astoriat 5:20am, while still dark. Giving a customer an hour time range pick up time is crazy and absolutely poor planning. You gotta do better. Of course, they DIDN'T show up on time. Called emergency contact number twice and both times told be there in 15 minutes. It was almost 7am before bus showed up and never received any communication from them about status. After we boarded, Jenny have us information. Parts will be a bit rough and other areas smooth. She took the time to answer any questions and off we went.
We had two stops this day, the dinghy taking us to see mangroves on the first stop Very educational and informative to see them.
The second slot has a beach, corals and fish galore. Oh and I was able to see sloths. One three Todd and the other a two toe. Loved seeing the corals and the many fish. Wrasses, parrotfish, sergeant majors and many more. I spent my time snorkeling to see the coral in the fish, and then hunting around to see sloths. There was even a howler monkey as it tried to pee on me.
We were also treated to a very delicious lunch. In my case I chose the shrimp and it was outstanding. The garlic was very good the sauce everything was just delicious.
Then, after this, sadly, we headed back, but I feel like I made a new friend and I’m thankful for the boat and the experience that will last a lifetime.

We did the full transit as it had been on my bucket list since I was a child. Out of the 180 people on board I am guessing 150 of them got off at the half transit dock. And that is all you really need to do if you just want a half day experience to see how the locks work, to get verbal history of the locks and canal, and to see what it feels like passing giant freighters going both ways in the canal - which turned out to be a lot wider than I thought it would be. We did the whole transit though and enjoyed a relatively empty boat for the last half, which was nice for picture taking as nobody was in your way. And it was really great to get to see the huge Gatun Lake and go through the 3rd lock near the end. The meals, drinks, and snacks provided down in the air conditioned cabin were good. I have been to Panama before and based on experience with three different companies in Panama, I can say that my experience with Tao travel 365 was top rated #1.
Punctuality: Michael, the tour guide was extremely professional and tour van arrived clean and on time.
Space in the van was more than enough!
Driving: Michael is an excellent driver and his interactions with tourists and traffic police were excellent!
Visiting the fort and islands was on time!
We visited three islands and there were lots of locals, felt safe. Ocean surf was nice!
Sand on the islands was enough and there were some sea shells also.
Restaurant: We went to nice clean restaurant and food was delicious! Prices were reasonable!
Office staff: Tao travel 365 has the excellent staff! Both Fernanda and Sarahi speak clearly in English. Handling was payment safe, correct, and a receipt with tour descriptions was provided in both Spanish and English. Time of start was clearly listed!
Everytime, I called the phone was immediately answered! Remember, that does not always happen in other travel businesses! Based on this phone experience alone, I will rate Tao Travel 365 number #1. Excellent beyond 💝 many other travel companies in the World!
Whole experience such as spending time in three islands, going through mangroves, boat experience between islands, paying tolls, paying attention to bathroom needs, lunch and driving was excellent by Michael. He is a good gentleman!
