- Karen WBrussels, Belgium5 contributionsThe canal itself is very popular in Panama, I enjoyed watching the ships going through and our guide’s explanation but it wasn’t my favourite place to visit in Panama.Written 29 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karen WBrussels, Belgium5 contributionsWhat a lovely and thoughtful day we had at Casco Viejo. Worth 100% to spend one entire day there and taking a tour of the are will give you a clear understanding. Highly recommendedWritten 29 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rochelle FRandolph, NJ920 contributionsWonderful and long walk along the Causeway. The Panama City skyline is beautiful to see and you can stop at the Bio Museo as an outing. We walked one way and had lunch.Written 29 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rochelle FRandolph, NJ920 contributionsOur last day in Panama, we decided to take a walk and crossed one of the "red bridges" as my friend called them, to walk along this roadway by the water. It was sunny and there is little shade (we left later in the morning). We walked all the way to the fish market where we had lunch and then continued to Casco Viejo for coffee.
Quite a good long walk. Also doable on bikes if you have them or want to rent them.Written 27 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We stayed at the Bay View with a fantastic view of Balboa daily!Written 5 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shelley C8 contributionsWe crossed Gatun Lake on our Monkey Tour, passed a couple of massive boats that were crossing the Panama Canal.
We didn't see the whole lake but it was very interesting to be on the canal route.Written 25 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The road is paved with some stairs along the way. Thew views at the top are nice. The climb is about 30 min each way and not steep.Written 10 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You can get a Uber here (Put in Panavierq bar, Ocean sun casino OR JW marriot) very easily from any part of the city. We weren’t charged a cover charge when we went up at approximately 6pm on a wednesday. You go in through the ocean sun casino entrance, find the elevator which should automatically take you up to level 66.
The views are the real reason for coming.
We had a couple of entrees to snack on (Pulled pork burgers and ceviche) and both were pretty good. Extensive drinks list particularly the cocktails which were tasty.
Despite the ridiculously good views they didn’t seem to price gouge us too much which was appreciated.
Service was pretty good.
Would definitely recommend - if you’re tight for money you can always just have a couple of drinks and leave.
Opens 5pm! Consider coming for sunset as it’s interesting to see Panama City change from day to night.Written 16 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Margil A. Cruz-Avila1 contributionProfessional staff, the overall experience was excellent. Great pictures and good atmosphere. We were in and out in less than an hour if you are guessing total time from getting dress to the photo session. I highly recommend them!! 10/10Written 18 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

The zip line adventure was a highlight of the trip. The visit gave us insight into the interior of Panama. The visit to the butterfly sanctuary was enlightening. - Susan S3 contributionsWhen writing a review travelers use words great, terrific, amazing, awesome etc. to describe an outstanding experience. I am concerned if I use any of these often used adjectives ( which are all appropriate in this instance) it would diminish the strength of my review.
We are seasoned travelers but never have we been blown away by a tour. It far exceeded our expectations in every way. Our Real Panama tour guide, Sorhay, was knowledgeable, flexible, kind , extremely generous and a JOY to be with. We had such a fabulous on our Panamanian Food tour that we immediately booked another tour for the next day.
This tour to visit the Embera indigenous people on their Island village via a dugout canoe was not only the highlight of our trip to Panama but one of the most memorable of our lives.
I promise you if you book any of the tours with Real Panama you won't be disappointed quite the opposite you will be ecstatic..

His tours are intimate, max 8 people to a group, which makes for a favorable experience, a bit of bonding between guests and time for him to answer questions without any rush ( probably the most informative low-key experience we've ever had). Rudy speaks "to you" (and includes everyone), not " at you". He also has an obviously great relationship with the local guides, judging by how effortlessly our tour went. If we'd had more time, we'd have taken more tours that he offers. ( Side note: Rudy is affiliated with Patty's Casita's of Panama City, Family business... If you are looking for a place to stay, Patty is as wonderful as Rudy in her endeavors.. check out our review on that!! ) I would add more photos but most of our shots were videos.Written 25 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
