This guide is very professional! They offer equipment for us who didn't specifically bring any to our vacation, and they are very knowledgeable about the hike and the area.
I've never done a hike like this before and felt I got a lot of good information in advance that helped me through the whole experience, anything from equipment to the hike itself to altitude sickness etc. We started the day with a steady breakfast at a local resturant before heading to the volcano area. We had two main guides and two local guides that helped keeping the group together. For anyone who fears being left behind or slowing the group: Don't worry! Go at your own pace! Take it step by step.
For anyone who fears about doing the hike on your own and not with a friend group: don't worry about it! I met sooo many other solo travellers who also decided to go through this by themself and had a blast. Some people I met might even be friends for life!

    My advice in short:
    - Do not miss the meeting the day before - all the information you'll need is given to you here!
    - Get two walking sticks at the start of the hike! These will be very helpful both up and down!
    - Get a porter to carry your bag. At least that's what I did, and it was really helpful, especially since I'm not used to hiking.
    - Bring a little bit of extra cash - for toilet visits along the way (some are free but not all) and to buy coffee/candy/drinks on stations along the hike. You might not think you'll want it beforehand but believe me, once there you will!
    - Enjoy the experience! It's tough from time to time but the community among the hikers are amazing! Just enjoy it!

We had an amazing time. Our guide, Esteban, was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. His English was perfect, very easy to understand. He made our tour more memorable. We went to the chocolate factory, the cross on the top of the mountain, and Hobittenago. We enjoyed moment. We had lunch after at a local restaurant and the food was so delicious.
Absolutely recommend this tour to anyone coming to Antigua

I signed up alone and had one other girl my age in the group so it was a small crew and Gio was an awesome guide. Super professional and making sure we knew how to operate the ATVs safely at all times. He taught us about each of the places we stopped, a mixture of history, culture, and regional myths (the story of the Quetzal). Hobbitenango was such a funky place and when we arrived, a fog rolled over the area, making it even more mystical and interesting. This trip was even cooler than I expected. Would definitely book another tour with them if I was staying longer! Thanks for a great day.

Very good experience at the hike! But don’t expect to see any lava, and don’t expect to see the crater from the top! But the walk over lava from 2021 was excellent. The guide Giorgio was very funny and friendly, but the driver not so much! The helpdesk guy was very helpful and responsive.

Most rewarding and most difficult hike we have done. This company was fantastic. We camped higher than any other group so it was less time to reach the top in the morning. Benjamin and Orlando and Fanny (dog) were amazing guides. They encouraged us along the way and stayed with those having difficulty, making this hike possible for all in our group. Fed us hot food, cocoa, hot cereal in the morning. Sleeping bags were very thin (and well used) so bring lots of layers to sleep in. We brought our blow-up sleeping pads and a blow-up pillow (recommend) as the foam sleeping mats are hard and lumpy. Our tent was well worn and the zipper didn't work well but all this paled in comparison to sleeping to sounds of El Fuego erupting throughout the night. Well worth the strain to do this hike. Don't miss it!!!

Staff is very kind and welcoming. The outdoor kitchen has a lovely view. The class in hands-on and totally enjoyed learning new ingredients and flavors. It’s a great experience from beginning to end.

I chose this tour because it offered a way to see more of the area around Antigua and an opportunity to get closer to the volcano without a day long hike. It turned out to be the perfect outing for both.

I have only driven ATVs at the beach, on sand. It was both a little scary and exciting to drive through town on the way to see the volcanoes. The equipment was in great shape and the guide did a great job of helping me whenever needed. He was very considerate in making sure I knew where we were going by using hand signals throughout the day. That built confidence as we left the town and traveled up and down trails.

After a short stop at a nearby caldera/lake, we visited a lava flow from the 2021 event. Walking out onto the new lava really showed how massive the eight month event had been. Seeing a single tree surrounded by lava flow was amazing.

From there, we traveled to a lava flow that was older. It was like driving across a moon scape. There were places where the pumice was like sand and put my limited ATV skills to the test. At every point, where more speed or more breaking was required, the guide stopped to make sure I knew how to handle the terrain.
We were really lucky to have clear skies and great views of the other volcanoes all day. The wind was pretty strong at the second Pacaya stop but it was never cold.

The tour was easy to schedule and all of my questions were answered really quickly, prior to the trip. I appreciated that the guide seemed genuinely interested in answering questions and making sure the tour met my expectations.

The van ride from Antigua was great. Driving through Santa Ana de Jesus showed me a different part of Guatemala, woman using the central laundry areas to wash clothes, Men on horseback, men with machetes and people carrying incredible loads.

The tour of Pacaya Volcano was great. It was a medium intensity hike, with stops for photos along the way and cooking marshmallows on the hot rocks. The landscapes we saw were truly spectacular and the hike was a really enjoyable one, despite the relatively steep ashy slopes in places which were loose underfoot but definitely traversable (though you can buy a stick for 10qz at the start if that's a concern). Our driver and guide were friendly and helpful, though our guide did have limited English. It was okay for myself and other Spanish speaking people on the tour but I'm not sure those who spoke English only were able to understand him. Other than that, everything else was just as described.

Our guide, Joel, made our day at Lake Atitlan come to life in a way that only a local could. It was so impressive to have a guide who was so young be so well informed on the history and culture. The magic of these beautiful places was enhanced by Joel's personality and insights.

We enjoyed a full day at the lake. We enjoyed the food, art, and music. One of the highlights was visiting the textile coop. I wound up buying a beautiful bathrobe in their shop and I love it. There were several vendors selling goods all over Antigua and the other communities, but Joel gave us the insight that Guatemalans actually buy textiles from the communities around the lake.

We cannot recommend Joel enough. He showed us a side of these communities few outsiders ever get to appreciate.

This was an amazing tour. Riding the ATVs was a blast, the sights were beautiful, and our tour guide Erick was engaging, informative, and hilarious. If you like coffee, chocolate, or just want to learn and experience an adventure, this is an amazing opportunity. I would recommend this tour to just about anyone. Everything was simple to book as well.

Super great tour! Our guide, Fernando, was awesome and a lot of fun. We visited three neat locations with amazing views and the opportunity to purchase food/drinks, and had a blast driving the ATVs around. Hobbitenango is too steep to drive the ATVs up/down (you will see why when you go!) so we rode in a truck for that portion, but the rest of the time you get to drive yourself. Really fun experience and a nice way to get out of downtown Antigua for a bit.

If you are pressed for time, private tour of both Guatemala City and Antigua is a way to go! It was so lovely to learn about the history of both, do some shopping and create wonderful memories.
Quick tip: ask your tour guide to start early due to traffic in the morning and also possibly of rain in the evening. My tour started at 9:30 am and it was late because we hit some heavy traffic on our way to Antigua and also it started to rain after our late lunch in Guatemala City

Erwin was a fantastic guide for our walking tour of Antigua. He took the time to explain everything throughly and answer all our questions. I highly recommend this tour for all new travellers to Antigua, a great introduction into the history and historical sites around the town.

We had a great evening with Esteban. He was very informative about the city and the culture. He made the trek up to the volcano interesting with stories from our local guide. Once we made it to the top our dinner was perfect. Would definitely recommend this tour!
