I felt like old times. It is a place that fascinates me with its incredibly pleasant and history smelling streets. I 've added it to my list to go again.

Relaxing boat tour of the Bay of Kotor. My sister and I stayed in Kotor and decided our feet had enough walking, so we took a 2 hr boat tour on the bay and visited some of the busy tourist sites. We had a great time. I am not one to wander around old churches but my sister was. I could not climb up to 2nd stories or floors, my mobility was limited, so instead, I opted to stay on the boat and the captain & I had a great chat. I wish I could remember the name of thr boat tour but I cannot. Thr boat was easy enough to get in amd out of. Montenegro is a place for walking. I saw 2 people with canes, no wheelchairs, mopeds seemed to be comandeered by group tourists. If you're handicapped, it's a difficult country to get around in.

We did a private tour with Mont Travel (owner/operator Dimitrije Jovicic) and one of our stops was this lookout that provided a beautiful view of Kotor and the entire peninsula that our cruise ship sailed in from the Adriatic Sea.

Beautiful square with charming scene, right after the main entrance, warm welcoming to the guests to the Medieval Old Town.

One of the access gates in Old town. Quite well preserved. You can climb up on it for a beautiful view of the area. From here, you can continue your route along the crest of the wall, along the seashore. The view is beautiful.

The cat is a kind of symbol of this city. Cats are everywhere and almost all the souvenirs sold here are related to cats. Therefore, it is no surprise that you can also find a cat museum in Kotor.

For a symbolic €1 you enter the world of cats. There are cats on the postcards, in the pictures, on the coins and medals, there are books about cats, posters with cats, stamps with cats, objects in the shape of cats, advertising materials with cats... Cats are everywhere around you.

It was a great idea to create this museum and even though it is tiny, the collections displayed in it are simply amazing. Here, visitors have information about the exhibits in several languages. There is also a small gift shop where you can buy - what a surprise - only things with cats.

Every old town has a clock tower (IMHO) and this one dates back to 1602. There is a lower level (subterranean) to the tower's upper floors. It was in this lower level the tower that the reinforcements were added after the 1979 earthquake caused destabilization.

The pillory in front of the tower would have made a spectacle out of offenders who were chained to the pillory as their punishment (and were subject to abuse).

From the tower, 4 major streets go in 4 directions. Find this treasure in the Square of Arms.

We actually liked the sea gate the best, but this one was no slouch either. Right next to the wall and the tower, its a great way to go in the city!

We were a day trip to Kotor and we entered to the old city through the "Sea Gate". This small gate is not very impressive as others but strong to defense the city. We had a a self-guided walking tour around the old city and on the right side of the gate there were a map of old town, which was very good for navigate without internet with photo of the map.

We actually thought the large anchor located near the front entrance, gave more character to this particular Palace.

This square is located all the way to the left when you walk in the old Town. There's a cute church and fountain, as well as a Cafe right there. The uniqueness is the fact that there are so many cats all around the place!

In Kotor you can see cats everywhere: the live ones and the ones that are just souvenirs for tourists. In this family shop, they offered beautiful, handmade cat-themed items. The lady in the shop had a story about a lot of items which were for sale here. The shop was really lovely and full of original, cute and funny cat souvenirs.

As a photographer, I was looking for a customized tour focusing not only on city- and landscapes, but also the living heritage, culture and monasteries of Montenegro. Pava helped plan a fantastic, highly customized tour, patiently discussing all the details over weeks and arranging all the extra special requests I had (portrait photos of Boka Navy, a couple in the traditional costume, visiting Gusle Maket, shepherds etc. etc.).

For 6 days we then toured the country with Slavko, who was always up for a joke, always knowledgeable and always going the extra mile to arrange some extra photo opportunities. The only regret we have are that we didn‘t have more time in beautiful Montenegro!

360 Monte, keep it up, you did amazing! Pava and Slavko, thank you for the fantastic tour!
