Pa was a great guide! We went by tuk-tuk to 3 different locations enjoying Lao hot pot, a local night market and the popular night market with far more food than I could eat! We tried so many dishes I lost count and as much beer and beverages as you could drink. A fun introduction to Lao food and plenty to try.

This was a great thing to do in Luang Prabang. We learned so much about the importance of bamboo to the Lao people and the myriad of uses it has for them. The weaving was fun and the cooking class is probably the best one we’ve done. Traditional food cooked my traditional methods and everything was delicious. Somsay and his team have put together a really entertaining experience. Thanks so much!

Fantastic cooking course. Carried it out even though I was just one person, not a given at all (my own private class!) The course started promptly on the beautiful grounds of The Namkhan Ecolodge. The chef was joined by a translator to make sure I could understand all she had to share! We did a tour of the organic gardens, the composting area, chicken huts, and even a mushroom greenhouse, my very first! I picked my own mushrooms and vegetables, and even the ginger! We cooked together and made wonderful, authentic dishes, which i will definitely make again. Definitely enjoyed, worth a go!

Our hosts for the day were Si's wife and brother-in-law, as Si was called away for a family emergency, but his family proved to be very friendly, patient and welcoming. We started the day with a market tour, which was very interesting and where our dietary preferences were taken into account, before making our way to the family's well-kept home, where we then prepared food and cooked in their fantastic outdoor kitchen for a couple of hours before sharing lunch with our hosts and two delightful kids from the family. The whole experience was great. The only thing I would note is that in the blurb it said hotel pick-up and return was part of the price, but we had to pay for it separately. Only a minor gripe though, as the class on the whole was fantastic.

Exciting first ever cooking school in a forest. Nice to be out of the city and to experience beautiful trees and village life. Intimate tour for 2. Guide Peng was sweet and knowledgeable. Driver did a good job managing the tuk tuk.

I had the best time with Nid and Noy at P70 pottery and candle making class. They were both very supportive and provided me with tremendous patience and encouragement.

I gained a new skill and I definitely recommend P70 Pottery, cooking and candle making as a must do in Luang Prabang

Please check out my YouTube channel @NWAY-IGWE, I have posted few video clips of my pottery making at P70 Pottery cooking and candle making.

    Cheers
