- anna1 contributionWe did the half day Luang Prabang city tour. Our guide, Thin, was very informative and his English was great. We learnt so much from Thin. I highly recommend this tour. We did not do the full day tour to the waterfall as we live in a part of Australia with a similar climate and an abundance of waterfalls in the area. Round-trip transport in a comfortable air-conditioned van, safe driver, informative and friendly guide (Ben?), Hmong culture demonstrations, entrance fee to the falls and bear rescue were all included. We got to the falls ahead of the massive afternoon crowds and could hike comfortably on our own (without the guide or the others in our group) in the cooler morning temps. Mr. Thin was an excellent guide — strong substantive knowledge of history, culture, religion; able to respond well & patiently to our many questions; and flexible in adapting our itinerary to our needs and the timing of crowds. We very pleased and impressed with the whole experience, start to finish.
