We booked a tour through bcfamilytour.com at an exceptionally affordable price. The organization was excellent, with a knowledgeable tour guide, and the food was delicious. We also received support from BC Family Tour’s travel experts throughout our trip. Thank you so much for the great experience!

Really enjoyable trek with the guide Year. My friend and I were solo, which I feel worked out awesomely. Year was so friendly, funny, and just personable. I really appreciated how much information he shared and the joy with which he shared information including about his past experiences on treks, his own life, about Thailand, and about the trail/waterfall as well. He was very accommodating and checked in often about how we were doing and any questions/curiosities that we had. Also, it was just cool learning more about him and his multilingual skills (native language, Lao, Thai, English, French)

I had a great experience setting up a custom tour for my family. We visited Thailand and Laos and had excellent tour guides in each country. Crossing the border from Thailand into Laos was easy and our private long boat down the Mekong was next level. Highly recommend

I had an amazing time on this tour. Luang Prabang is such an incredible little city and this tour was a great way to get a taste of the best of what it has to offer. My guide Xoy was so informative and passionate about this place and its people and culture (I saw him pick up litter we came across to keep it pristine). He had studied at one of the temples we visited and had so much insight to share.

I loved stooping at the Save the Bear mini sanctuary at the base of Kuang Si Falls and learn more about the bears. There was only one bear out bearing, two sleeping, one poking his/her head out of the enclosure and the rest were doing their thing away from prying eyes and I'm glad they have this choice.

The waterfalls were impressive and not very hard to get to (the climb up Phousi Hill was tougher). Be warned that if it has been raining too heavily, you won't be able to swim (although you wouldn't want to when it's like that). Also, if you want to see that incredible coloured water (which Xoy explained is from limestone), you need to come in the dry season.

We visited the Hmong village on the way back to town which was interesting but very touristy with a procession of mothers thrusting their young children (kitted out in traditional dress and looking adorable) at you to buy souvenirs. If I am lucky enough to cone back to Luang Prabang, I would give it a miss.

Xoy also pointed out the local buffalo dairy on our drive and we pulled over so I could buy an icecream (once you add the flavours, it's just like regular icecream).

Such a great day. Highly recommended.

Was a great trip up to the waterfall two small villages I took a personal little vehicle with a driver he was great we stopped in at the elephant Farm or the elephant place on the way up there which was great and another small village with among very poor people that seller homemade goods clothing and purses and things like that it was pretty cool the waterfall itself was beautiful the trip up to the waterfall like the walk from the parking lot is beautiful jungle it's all asphalt it would is very easily accessible even if you were in a wheelchair but there's beautiful flowers along the way and Deep Jungle in the parking lot area is a bunch of craft stores and a lot of eating places I ate the fried fish with the salad and it was to die for it was amazingly good so don't be afraid try some of it

Guide arrived promptly. He spoke good English. He was very accommodating to our wishes to add the monk’s alms giving. He explained a lot of history of Laos at the museum and temples. Highly recommended!

From the bustling market to the serene temples and the gorgeous Kuang Si Waterfalls, this tour offered everything. It was fascinating to witness the local culture up close and try the authentic dishes. The waterfalls were a highlight with their natural beauty. Our guide was knowledgeable and added so much depth to the experience. A must-do in Laos!

During a trip down the Mekong, we stopped at this cave and shrine. Also called Buddha cave, there are about 4000 Buddhas inside the two caves.
