This can be a good visit if you know what to expect. So get a shirt with sleeves (even short ones) and longer pants/skirt and you are set. Unfortunately, you can only take some photos outside. Everything must be dropped at the entrance (backpacks, cameras, etc). But it's still worth checking out as the interior of the palace is quite impressive and there are some interesting tidbits to discover. But then you'll have to go read some history on your own as they won't be telling you what happened to to royal family. Don't miss the car collection behind the museum too!

UXO Museum is a must when in Luang Prabang! This small space is dedicated to educate viewers on the tragedy that Lao people still face today due to millions of “bombies”, unexploded ordnance the country was left to endure. This museum will give you more understanding & insight of what occurred & the aftermath. There is a powerful short movie to be seen at the museum. Hours of operation are limited. Entry is free, donations are accepted. There is a small section to purchase items. Please support!

We never would have known about this incredible place, had it not been for a lady from Australia that lives in LP now. So educational to learn how the silk worms produce the silk, how it is dyed and watch the weavers make the fabric! We were both very impressed!

Project Space is a NGO providing space for exhibitions, events and cultural shows. it was opened in December of 2010 till 2014. during its time it organised many exhibitions. I believe it has now been closed and it has been taken over by Friends Vistors Centre also a NGO in the same building. a 3 storey building.
