- Sabine R11 contributionsI love this waterfall. This first time I was here was in 2008. A lot has changed since then, yet the beauty of nature remains - and this is breathtaking! The waterfalls, the air, the climate, the vegetation, the sounds … it’s just wonderful.
A new highlight is climbing up the ~ 500 stairs to the Canopy walk, which provides amazing view. They also offer some other fun stuff up there.
Please remember where ever you go in Laos, people don’t really get paid a lot. The transportation is not convenient so I booked a half day tour. It allowed me to stay 2.5 hours at the waterfall area. However,I spent "too much" time on climbing to the top of the mountain and enjoying time at the Cafe there that I couldn't have enough time to swim in the water.
Lesson learnt : if you are on a tour and with limited time, choose the view from the top of mountain or swim in the water...can't do both due to limited time.
