Kuang Si Waterfall is about an hour’s drive from the city, but the road to get there is in terrible condition. The ride feels much longer than an hour, and it’s quite nerve-wracking. However, once you arrive, the scenery and fresh air make it all worthwhile. As you walk deeper into the area, the sound of the waterfall grows louder, building up anticipation. The waterfall itself is majestic and beautiful. Down below, you can swim and even see bears, which adds a unique touch to the experience.

This is the reason we came to Laos. We were not disappointed. They take you through the several steps of planting rice. The most fun parts were the thrashing of the stalks and the planting in the mud, including the buffalo ploughing.
They arranged transport to and from the hotel.

To be honest this could be replicated pretty much anywhere (even faked in the West) but part of the shine of this place is that it is real and in a real location.

The guide was very informative throughout the process and the vegetarian meal was excellent. If you are in Luang Prabang then this is certainly worth doing. (The photos which others have put on are totally accurate.)

Steps going up this hill/mountain are near the Night Market of Luang Prabang. Due to very hot weather, it is recommended that it be visited in the early morning and late in the afternoon.

There is a beautiful Stupa here and a small temple on the right side of the steps. Bring water and take your time to climb it Enjoy the views!

Wat Xieng Thong is an iconic temple that should be on every visitor's itinerary when exploring Luang Prabang. Renowned for its architectural beauty, the temple stands as a prime example of classic Lao design, with its sweeping, low-tiered roofs and intricate details. The ornate carvings, mosaics, and gilded decorations inside and out reflect the rich cultural and religious history of the region.

Luang Prabang's appeal rests with several factors - the many temples and royal buildings that one would expect of an ancient royal Lao capital, its beautiful location on the banks of the Mekong River, and the relatively unspoilt environment that has come about through its UNESCO World Heritage Site designation. I found that all these gave the city a very peaceful and laid back feel, even in the centre of the Old Quarter. Visitors will notice that, just a short distance from the main roads, it's fairly quiet. Having breakfast and/or dinner with a good view of the river can be rather romantic. And the relatively slow pace of life make the old quarter a lovely place to stay a few days longer.

Very interesting and at the same time deeply disturbing....how the Americans could bring themselves to perpetrate such crimes against humanity.

The waterfalls here are braided and stepped. It's very scenic. I have an affinity for traveling to view falls, which I've done in several countries.

Probably the largest complex of buildings in Luang Prabang, the grounds of the former Royal Palace bear testament to Laos's storied history over the last half-decade or so. Built for the royal family at the turn of the last century in what was then the country's capital, the buildings were eventually converted into a museum when the communists took power. During our visit, we spent more time strolling along the corridors of the main palace. Highlights included the king's & queen's reception rooms, murals depicting scenes of Lao life, statues, silk screens (one of which was weaved by a former queen), and various diplomatic gifts. Photography was prohibited so visitors will have to be content with relying on their memory. We also visited the palace temple and the barge museum. The former was moderately large in size with a three-tiered roof with an elaborate gold leaf-decorated facade, the highlight being the Buddha statue that gives its name to the city. Here again, photography was not allowed. There was also a royal cars exhibitiong (not much to see) with a couple of old petrol pumps (in poor condition), a couple of royal carriages (at least that's what the sign said). Do take note that the grounds are closed for a couple of hours at midday.

I came to Luangprabang in June and sign in for a one-day elephant riding tour in Manifa.

it was so much fun with elephant riding, bathing, feeding and everything!

all the staff there is so nice and willing to share lots of knowledge about elephant.

with an incredible buffet lunch included in the camp watching the river scene, one of the best experience for me ever!

    Highly Highly recommended for sure!

    特别特别特别棒的体验!

    老板人很好,同时大象训练营里的Mahout训象师也特别热心,琅勃拉邦最值得参与的体验之一,一百分推荐!

The ropes course and zip lining were amazing. The staff were well trained and helpful! This was the first time doing an outside ropes course, and I felt safe despite the trickiness of the course. One of the guides carried my phone to take pictures for my friend and I throughout the entire course. The views from the zip line were beautiful!!

We wished we’d organise to stay the whole day! There was so much to do, the family really enjoyed the tree top walks over waterfalls, ziplining and swimming in the waterfalls! It is a beautiful park and there was so much more to see than what we had time to explore!
