Go there early, plan adequate time to walk after you drop/park your vehicle. Pay attention to your valuables. We reached 45 minutes before Aarti but it was too late to find a great place to watch. Heard from others, it is good to come atleast 60-90 minutes early. Also note, there is early morning Aarti as well which i couldnt attend but can imagine to be less crowded and wonderful experience. You dont need to take rickshaw since it is only 10 minute brisk walk to the place.

The drive to the place was more interesting than the place itself. Best place to be when the mountains are visible without the haze.

Camel's Back Road connects the two ends of the Mall Road providing a longer, very quiet, winding and, most importantly, a level route compared to the steep inclines of the Mall Road. Provides for a nice, leisurely 30-40 minute walk with good views of the mountains and valleys.

One of the most beautiful lakes and best experiences. Loved to visit during the evening. One boat ride is never enough. Although we visited in summer which is peak season, hear that winters are awesome too

During Summers Neergarh waterfalls is a narrow falls dropping in a plunge pool. It's wonderful to have a bath in the cool water pool. It can be reached by Trek climbing for 20 mins. The uphill Trek is tiresome but you forget it once you experience the serenity of the place & enjoy the dip.

Mostly a ruin, but much of the White Album was written here. Many little meditation huts which postdate the Beatles, but you can still walk through the bungalows they stayed in. Now managed by the govt as part of Rajaji Tiger Reserve. Entry fee of Rs 600 for foreigners, 150 for Indians is steep by local standards. There is a small cafe and photo gallery. It's a bit of a walk from town, so you might want to take a taxi and ask them to wait for you while you visit

The place offers spectacular views but only if you are willing to climb a steep hill of nearly 2 kms..The road to the climb is good.to develop tourism they must have EV vehicle esp for senior travellers

Its a personal estate where one has to pay Rs 150 as entry fee. IN that you get to peek inside a home (which they call museum), a photo gallery and a couple points to click pics.
One good thing is that you get to see himalayan ranges on one side and doon valley on the other.
