Really nice shop in Ubud! All handmade linen clothes for men. My fiancé bought a shirt and some linen pants - perfect fit! The girls that worked there were nice and helpful! Best recommendations if you need or just want a wardrobe upgrade!

I was wandering the art market, saying that I wished more of the crafts there were actually handmade when I stumbled upon this gorgeous shop. It’s like a museum inside with incredibly beautiful textiles. The prices reflect what the women should actually be getting paid for their labor and craftsmanship. They also have an online shop. I loved seeing the handmade items and wish I had more time to spend there.

I went to visit the facility--the factory and showroom. It was amazing. They gave a lovely welcome drink, and explained the John Hardy mission and what goes behind the making of the jewelry and the brand. It was fascinating, and not only do I admire what they do--they are very eco conscious as well as they clearly treat their employees so well, but it gave me total appreciation for why John Hardy is quality, high end jewelry. The workmanship is incredible! The showroom and "campus" are beautiful as well. The gal that gave me the tour was so great. It was an overall wonderful experience.

Very interesting patterns, really love their fabrics because they used natural tie dye technique, and the hand stitches are so detailed. Really great to used them in my collection because it’s very beautiful and easy to work with.

    Best gift idea from Bali!

The business itself is good quality, clean, stylish and unique. Salt, raw honey and tasty jams will be a very nice presents to your friends

They have 2 shops , another one is closer to Monkey forest focused on soaps 🧼

OMG, the reviews were so right that this is extremely difficult to find. Be prepared to be disappointed if you don't find the place. The best advice I can give is that go to the Ubud Fitness Centre which is located right there up a steep slope and ask the folks there. They will point you to a small path down the terrace field and within 2-3 mins walking you will see the board. The place looks dilapidated as if no one is there. You will see bikes parked on the left - knock the doors there and someone will let you in hopefully. I went when they are closed for lunchtime but they still opened the shop. Soaps are perhaps not as fancy as Kou Bali soaps on Dewi Sita Road but makes a good buy for bulk purchases. All the best to the adventurous souls!

I have only bought here. It is the best Balinese-made chocolate that I have tasted. I like dark chocolate, which this place seems to specialise in.

Kaler & Wati Tailor are located 50 meters at the back of the house
Because in one house there are 2 different tailor (the one in front its not kaler & wati tailor)
Be sure that you meet Mr. Kaler & Mrs. Wati at the back (just go straight and turn right)

at first i just wanted to take a friend from Germany to shop for dresses, but in the end i went shopping for 3 jumpsuits hahaha. I love the design, so unique and stylish and the material also comfortable to wear. The price is a bit expensive for me but because the design is unique i finally bought it. The service also very good, i bought in jalan raya ubud and jalan bisma.

Don't confuse the "Art Market" on Jalan Karna (near Monkey Forest Road and Jalan Raya Ubud) with the "Art Market" that has overtaken Jalan Kajeng. The signs on Jalan Raya Ubud (next to Starbucks) say it's a 600-metre walk to see the rice paddies. Both sides of Jalan Kajeng have market stalls with much the same merchandise as the old (still in existence but slightly repositioned) Art Market. Cobbled paving and lots of carved stepping stones. We didn't find the rice paddies - blistered feet won the fight. A good spot to browse and haggle.

as a bookworm,i always love to explore Ganesha bookshop in ubud, staffs here even recognise me even after two years not coming to Bali. this year, when border reopened, i visited ubud again in June, i bought a lots of books here, some related to Balinese languages, some related to Balinese culture.i found three English books written in Bali context, the first tittle is Bali, the patchwork paradise, written by Nanc Carter,i love its illustration, the artist is Atjin Tisna, the outline is simple, and its line is flowing.the second is The Bamboo school in Bali, written by J.Last and U.P.Tisna,it was first written in Dutch, and this is an English version.the co-author U.P.Tisna is the son of the last king of Bali,he was educated in Netherlands.the third book is the most expensive one,the tittle is Soonmoon: Boy of Bali, written by Kathleen Morrow Elliot, and illustrated by Roger Duvoisin, published in 1939 in New York.i love its ilustrations too.books condition is good.actually i was confused by the price, cuz it is in Rupiah,i miscounted the price, like 750,000,i counted as 75,000, hehe, thats why i bought them without hestitation.but when i realised the real price,it is too late to say no,cuz the staff already keyed in everthing. because these books are rare, especially the last one,and also these are books on Bali theme,so i bought them. besides, i bought litte prince indonesian version and Sunda version, the Sunda one is a surprise, but i hope i can get a Balinese version, any Balinese want to translate it?is it possible?
