- Dan LBunbury, Australia7,266 contributionsThe garden area, pond and surroundings were open to the public, but the inner sanctum was closed in preparation for cremation rites on 24th July. Very attractive water feature with fountains and the gardens surrounding. Glad that we got to see some of the grand Balinese temple architectural artistry.Written 28 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - YogiOnHolidayPortsmouth, UK43 contributionsThis is a very beautiful walk - no more than about 2.5 miles in total. Take it slowly and take in the views, the wildlife - butterflies, ducks, egrets, rice heron, cats etc. Talk to people who live there - maybe a fruit seller, or sarong/drinks seller, and your visit will be enhanced. The way back and down into town is a little tricky unless you are nimble and sure-footed and not recommended in wet weather, but it is do-able. The cafe along the way, the Sweet Orange Warung was a treat, with specialised coffees and warm welcome with gorgeous views. It is easy to do this walk without a guide.Written 29 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dan LBunbury, Australia7,266 contributionsGreat place to visit if looking for souvenirs, statues, clothing, woven bags and baskets or a plethora of other Balinese artisan products. There are many stalls, both in the main buildings and adjacent. Merchandise is repetitive and we tended to walk more quickly after the first half hour or so. The are a number of Art Markets in Ubud and I think that I prefer the street type rather than wending my way through a grand building. Still worth visiting and handily located on the Main Street.Written 28 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Happiness599409692483 contributionsIt would be wonderful to have some signs or a pamphlet up explaining us about the various portions of the building. The area that is open to the public is fairly limited, and because so many people are there trying to shoot the ideal selfie, you can't get very close to anything interesting.Written 10 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jen8848Cricklade, UK11 contributionsThis was a fantastic find in Ubud. Everything here is of a very high quality. Was looking for a statue of Saraswati on her swan and found exactly what i was looking for! The owner was incredibly friendly and patient and there was no pressure at all to buy.
I also ended up going back for a beautiful Kali statue and a Ravana mask, while my daughter bought a Buddha head. Everything was very carefully wrapped.
The whole experience here was very pleasant. Highly recommended 🤗Written 13 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Entrance is free, you will get a short tour of how the coffee is prepared, including the history of the luwak coffee. You will also see the luwak cat. Some cages are pretty small for these animals. Soak up the jungle view while sampling all the different coffees on offer.Written 25 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Adam E4 contributionsAstounding, amazing artwork! Blown away by the talent, set up and friendliness. Our taxi driver had stopped here on the way to Ubud centre as I was desperate to see artwork in Bali and it did not disappoint! The sheer talent, time and thought gone into these pieces of work left me speechless - I had never seen hand paintings like these in my life. I had chosen an outstandingly intricate and impeccable piece of traditional Keliki artwork. The front of house/owner was so genuine, talented and welcoming, the piece of artwork I chose happened to be painted by his own very teacher. He took the time to show me around the gallery and explain the story and meaning behind mine and various other paintings. In my opinion the value they set are very reasonable and worth every penny however I did negotiate on the price. I love how they inspire and teach the younger generations to carry on the tradition. If I had any artistic talent in me I would have definitely loved to attend a class. A must go if you're into art! 10/10Written 12 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- David MCape Town Central, South Africa321 contributionsour guide was wonderful spending time explaining the whole process and answering any questions, coffee and tea samples were interesting, the coffee is really good and you can taste the difference, but be prepared to pay if you make it your daily drinkWritten 7 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Constance BRutland, MA190 contributionsDefinitely a great walk through the rice fields. I enjoyed seeing beauty of all the green colors and listening to the water running down culverts for the fields. Maybe took an hour. Had to stop because the trail narrowed and was too muddy.Written 26 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jessy WAdelaide, Australia3 contributionsWe visit the place a couple of weeks ago and bought a lot of coffees and teas from their shop, all sugar free, according the labels. But back home, everything taste so sweet, like it's full of sugar, very disappointed, if that's th case...it's misleading and cheatingWritten 25 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
