- Angele P4 contributionsIt was fun! All the people giving bad reviews are expecting these animals to be caged or this to be a zoo. It’s a sanctuary where monkeys roam freely, you go at your own risk.
If you don’t taunt the monkeys and you respect their space they won’t bite you. I wouldn’t take kids as kids are unpredictable and so are monkeys.Written 1 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The views were not as spectacular as I had hoped, but it made for a pleasant (and free) excursion. There are a number of shops selling paintings towards the end of the walk, and we found the quality of the paintings to be better than in town. We made two purchases.Written 16 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Winaca Bali Tour DriverSeminyak, Indonesia2 contributionsVery beautiful temple, location in the center of Ubud, close to Ubud palace and market. Good for photos, walking with your partner, there is an entry ticket.Written 8 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ben S21 contributionsLovely art gallery in Ubud with a diverse range of Indonesian paintings and sculptures + Keris collection. There is an incredible amount of art, and with an entrance fee of 100k this is well worth. The grounds are well maintained and it is not busy, making it a peaceful destination for tourists trying to avoid the crowds. It is located a bit out of the way and is quite a walk from the centre of Ubud. Would recommend for those who like to browse art and are looking for a peaceful use of 1-2 hours.Written 19 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SarahDenver, CO67 contributionsThe cave and surrounding temple is a must-see! It is very touristy, so note that there will be many vendors when you arrive and guides that will attempt to sell their services. There is also a restaurant nearby to the entrance that can be visited if you need a bite to eat!Written 5 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CaribeTraveler45NY143 contributionsIt is a nice museum with garden to visit when in Ubud. Worth it. Just note that there are two types of entrance tickets, one drink included, tea or coffee for about 95,000 IDR , and the other drink and lunch included for about 145,000 IDR . So you have a choice.Written 4 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Helsy767Adelaide, Australia46 contributionsMy family (3 adults and a 2yr old) visited the waterfall at 8.30am on a Wednesday and it was a perfect time to come. There was only a handful of people and we were able to get some lovely photos.
The steps down/up were not too hard, and there were plenty of places to stop for a rest and a photo!
The little bamboo bridges to cross the water were a bit precarious and way too dangerous for our daughter to walk on, so if you’re unsure on your feet, don’t attempt the crossing!
We were leaving just as it was getting really busy so we highly recommend getting there as early as possible to get photos without other people!Written 25 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Take it slowly and take in the views, the wildlife - butterflies, ducks, egrets, rice heron, cats etc. Talk to people who live there - maybe a fruit seller, or sarong/drinks seller, and your visit will be enhanced. The way back and down into town is a little tricky unless you are nimble and sure-footed and not recommended in wet weather, but it is do-able. The cafe along the way, the Sweet Orange Warung was a treat, with specialised coffees and warm welcome with gorgeous views. It is easy to do this walk without a guide.Written 29 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nicholas Aw1 contributionPart of the Traditional Art Market has been housed in a new building. However, there are still many traders operating from the old bazaar area.
Here, you can buy a souvenir to bring home - from a wall decoration to a wind chime or a piece of wood carving to clothings including souvenir T-shirts.
If you love bargaining, this is the place for you to put your negotiation skills to good use. Don't be shy or afraid to haggle. For example, if the opening price is Rp 300K (that's about USD 20 / EU 18 / SGD 27 / RM 90), offer half or less and take it from there. Don't worry, from experience, I find that the traders will never get angry. They would smile and counter your offer.
Personally, I don't think there's a loser here. Once a bargain is struck, it results in a win-win situation. The trader is happy to have made a sale and you are happy to have acquired a souvenir from Ubud to take home!Written 9 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's a good place for a quiet wander and to take some nice pics of the old structures and carvings whilst getting to escape the hustle-bustle and touts on the main street of Ubud. It's free and not too crowded.Written 3 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Storyteller6323378 contributionsGetting started on a trip of a lifetime! We are so happy to recommend Bali Eco Cycling! The whole day tour was a revelation of THE Bali! The staff and everyone we were introduced to were so friendly and helpful in understanding each part of the day’s activities, such as stopping at rice paddies, visiting a host family compound with a tour of their farm, a coffee plantation, and an ancient banyan tree. A great breakfast buffet with a view of Mount Batur, weather permitting, and a delicious lunch at the end of the ride. Bikes and gear were provided as well as rain ponchos and refreshments. Very informative and pleasant! You are going to be amazed! A special thanks to our guide Wayan!

We were welcomed in to see beautiful art you won’t find anywhere else. We fell in love with a piece each and couldn’t leave with out it. Beautiful place, people and art. - Anjouan17Pittsford, NY67 contributionsBali's Blanco Renaissance Museum offers visitors first and foremost a wonderful view of the entrance to the museum itself and its surrounding garden. Similarly, its external and internal architecture are lovely, and its rooftop, accessible from the terrace exit on the second floor of the museum, contains some lovely sculptures and wonderful views of Ubud and the region surrounding itself.
The artwork by Antonio Blanco and his son is interesting (as are some of its frames), and for prospective visitors who would like to learn more about Blanco, his biography in Wikipedia is worth reading.
Entrance fee is reasonable -- just over six US dollars. - Jay HSydney, Australia27 contributionsOur driver made the suggestion to stop here as it wasn't something we had considered. My husband and I enjoyed the experience and thought it was interesting. Whilst we purchased some products, we certainly didn't feel pressured to do so. It's a nice stop on the way to Ubud.Written 14 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
