What travellers are saying
- Helsy767Adelaide, Australia46 contributionsMy family (3 adults and a 2yr old) visited the waterfall at 8.30am on a Wednesday and it was a perfect time to come. There was only a handful of people and we were able to get some lovely photos.
The steps down/up were not too hard, and there were plenty of places to stop for a rest and a photo!
The little bamboo bridges to cross the water were a bit precarious and way too dangerous for our daughter to walk on, so if you’re unsure on your feet, don’t attempt the crossing!
We were leaving just as it was getting really busy so we highly recommend getting there as early as possible to get photos without other people!Written 25 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The whole day tour was a revelation of THE Bali! The staff and everyone we were introduced to were so friendly and helpful in understanding each part of the day’s activities, such as stopping at rice paddies, visiting a host family compound with a tour of their farm, a coffee plantation, and an ancient banyan tree. A great breakfast buffet with a view of Mount Batur, weather permitting, and a delicious lunch at the end of the ride. Bikes and gear were provided as well as rain ponchos and refreshments. Very informative and pleasant! You are going to be amazed! A special thanks to our guide Wayan!

- 1Tony12345Sydney, Australia8 contributionsWe had a wonderful day exploring Uluwatu and surrounding . Our driver Astama ensured we had a relaxing and comfortable time. When visiting Uluwatu Temple Astama was protecting us from aggressive monkeys. Astama has a very kind and caring personality and we enjoyed time we spent with him. We highly recommend Astama for your next travels.

- Sim sekhon2 contributionsThe waterfall was the best part. The hike was moderately difficult but fun. However, the crater top was very crowdedWritten 2 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- cwk14Lafayette, CA12 contributionsOne of our favorite things we did in Ubud. It is a great way to see the countryside and learn about the culture. Our tour guide Gusti was awesome. We road through the rice fields and saw a traditional Balinese home.Written 20 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FridaMicaelaPuerto Rico291 contributionsWe decided to do the camping under Mount Batur to start the morning trekk.it was definitely a night/day to remember. We camped at the starting point of the trekk. Tents were already laid out for us with sleeping bags and mats inside. We enjoyed a dinner in front of the fireplace and we went to bed under the most beautiful sky with stars. At 3am we were awaken to have some coffee and start the trekk uphill. The view of the sunrise at the top of the volcano was amazing. They gave us a boiled egg and banana sandwich at the top for breakfast. We walked a little bit further up top to appreciate the hot steams after the sun had risen. After that we came back down and were driven to the hot springs to spend an hour in a “resort like” facility with stunning view to the lake. We skipped the coffee plantation included in the tour as we had already tried the luwak variety. Driver took us to have lunch and then to hotel.Written 18 May 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- agabholland10 contributionsIf you wish to rest from hectic streets of Ubud and still see the authentic part of Bali, we recommend the cycling tour. Our family declared this to be the best part of our 7days long Bali adventure! It gave us a great opportunity to see a real daily rhythm of Bali, experiencing hospitality of Balinese people at the Duk camp in jungle forest, smiling beautiful kids with curious eyes waving at us on our path and even to have a friendly encounter with giant spiders. All of this was done under watchful eyes of our very experienced tour guide YOGA and his friend. They accomodated this trip to our expectations and changed a regular schedule so we could see the Batur lake and vulcano from a viewing point. We managed to squeeze this relaxing half day trip into our intense and short stay in Bali. Surely, one of the most memorable moments to our family from this trip! Thank you, family from NL.Written 13 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Julie MCanterbury, Australia15 contributionsWe had the best experience with Wayan and Kettut as they guided us on a bike tour from Ubud.
So much information was given on how the people live in harmony with their environment.
Winding through the local streets and stopping at a wonderful waterfall for a quick dip then kindly invited to eat lunch with Wayans family.
An amazing meal to end a great day in Bali .

- bastionsPerth73 contributionsIt was an amazing experience. I had a tension remedy massage followed by a facial. 2 hours in total for the price of Aus $20. The atmosphere is not your usual sterile massage room. But a beautiful homely area. The rooms were immaculately clean and the masseuse gave me the best massage I have had in Bali. 10 stars. This place is a hidden treasure. Do yourself a favour and try it out.Written 16 February 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carter R3 contributionsMy partner and I are from Canada and visiting Bali for a short 10-day vacation.
We could not recommend Artana more highly. He was relaxed, so much fun, generous with his time, and more than willing to share his culture with us. If you just want transport, then find a taxi. But if you want to learn something and feel welcomed into Bali then book with Artana. Incredible guy.Written 3 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. From the get-go he was so helpful and responsive, he helped me plan our itinerary and worked with his extensive knowledge of Bali to make our trip the most amazing experience!
He treated the 12 of us like family, sharing stories about his life and about his culture; he even said we are welcome back anytime and called us his children 😊
He drove us around all throughout Bali : from Ubud to Mt Batur to Canggu to Uluwatu and always made sure we had arrived safe at home. He was always early and was patient with us when we were late or when our itinerary would go off course. He was so flexible with plans changing and helped us book experiences and suggested AMAZING local and popular restaurants. He also managed driving even when our group was split up (which is amazing!) and was a pro at navigating the Bali streets
He truly embodied expertise in his professionalism, while also becoming our friend over the course of a week.
I cannot stress enough how grateful I am of Wayan and will definitely be back to spend more time with him ! Thank you!!!Written 24 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
