Lovely setting, lots of monkeys to be seen climbing through the trees and sitting around the temples. Shady pathways and jungle. Very clear instructions for what to do and not do around the monkeys so didn’t have any problems. Really fun thing to see!

If you don’t like walking uphill then give this one a miss. It’s really pretty and a lovely walk to do but you do have to mind your footing as the slabs aren’t evenly placed.

I’ll say it was pretty busy in places and wasn’t what I expected from the photographs I’ve seen but seeing all the houses built into the hills is lovely and listening to the river rather than the hum of engines is also a nice change.

The garden area, pond and surroundings were open to the public, but the inner sanctum was closed in preparation for cremation rites on 24th July. Very attractive water feature with fountains and the gardens surrounding. Glad that we got to see some of the grand Balinese temple architectural artistry.

Lovely sights. Slightly ruined visit because of the large numbers of tourist but otherwise still a lovely visit. Would not recommend to those who have difficulties with their mobility as there are many steps (both steep and/or narrow) and if you’d like to get up to nicer areas it would be extremely difficult if you have mobility issues.

Otherwise I was mesmerised and we spent a bit of time just soaking our feet in the water.

This is very different to any of the other temples we have seen. There are a lot of steps, especially if you want to go down to the Buddhist area, which is well worth the walk - it is very beautiful. Sarongs are included with admission and are required for both men & women in shorts.

I was really looking forward to visiting this museum and viewing the Balinese paintings and wood carvings, reputed to be the largest and finest collection in Bali. The gardens and building are impressive, architecture very similar to nearby temples. I didn't manage to see all the displays, various classes, a hot day, high humidity and the inevitable Balinese penchant for steps limited my viewing. Fascinating museum and a must visit if in Ubud.

This is a very beautiful walk - no more than about 2.5 miles in total. Take it slowly and take in the views, the wildlife - butterflies, ducks, egrets, rice heron, cats etc. Talk to people who live there - maybe a fruit seller, or sarong/drinks seller, and your visit will be enhanced. The way back and down into town is a little tricky unless you are nimble and sure-footed and not recommended in wet weather, but it is do-able. The cafe along the way, the Sweet Orange Warung was a treat, with specialised coffees and warm welcome with gorgeous views. It is easy to do this walk without a guide.

Great place to visit if looking for souvenirs, statues, clothing, woven bags and baskets or a plethora of other Balinese artisan products. There are many stalls, both in the main buildings and adjacent. Merchandise is repetitive and we tended to walk more quickly after the first half hour or so. The are a number of Art Markets in Ubud and I think that I prefer the street type rather than wending my way through a grand building. Still worth visiting and handily located on the Main Street.

Good service and had a nice morning with them. Unfortunately no sunrise view from Mount Batu but that's not their fault! Getting up at 1am was maybe a little too early - it could have been 1 hour later. Staff were great and the drive was safe. I recommend this tour company.

A full day tour around ubud and this was by far the best part of our day. We were welcomed in to see beautiful art you won’t find anywhere else. We fell in love with a piece each and couldn’t leave with out it. Beautiful place, people and art. Thank you for having us.

It would be wonderful to have some signs or a pamphlet up explaining us about the various portions of the building. The area that is open to the public is fairly limited, and because so many people are there trying to shoot the ideal selfie, you can't get very close to anything interesting.

Decided to walk from our hotel to the museum, easy going as all downhill until i reached the entry and then a struggle up the steep driveway to the entrance. Well worth the effort to view the buildings, the delightful gardens and water features and the many artworks throughout the various galleries. It is the former home of Don Antonio Blanco and the tradition of Blanco art is continued by his only son, Mario. The very useful and informative site map has a comprehensive summary of the artist, the compound and his works. A must visit if in Ubud.

Take an hour or more to explore this coffee plantation while in Ubud. Entrance is free, you will get a short tour of how the coffee is prepared, including the history of the luwak coffee. You will also see the luwak cat. Some cages are pretty small for these animals. Soak up the jungle view while sampling all the different coffees on offer.

our guide was wonderful spending time explaining the whole process and answering any questions, coffee and tea samples were interesting, the coffee is really good and you can taste the difference, but be prepared to pay if you make it your daily drink

We visit the place a couple of weeks ago and bought a lot of coffees and teas from their shop, all sugar free, according the labels. But back home, everything taste so sweet, like it's full of sugar, very disappointed, if that's th case...it's misleading and cheating
