The tour covers the Golan Heights including a view over Syria, with a drive by of the Sea of Galilee, overnight stay at a beautiful Kibbutz, visit to the Nimrod castle, and the Kaballistic city of Safed (Zefat). And since we were doing well in terms of time, we also visited a viewpoint overlooking Lebanon, which was not a part of the itinerary.
The star of the trip was our guide Mr. Ami, a retired career military veteran from IDF with great insights into military history and tactics. His description of the historic Golan heights tank battle (1973 Yom Kippur war) was lively and captivating, along with his other insights and tidbits into the history of the region.
If you are a pacifist with utopian visions of peace, this tour is not for you because the major part of the tour deals with military exploits. There are separate tours of Safed for people who are only interested in Kaballa.
