Suwaidi Pearls tour is well worth a visit. Obaid is so knowledgable and captivating when sharing his knowledge. An opportunity to learn a lot about the past and present of pearl farming in an enjoyable way. In beautiful surroundings and a gorgeous return boat trip passing the Hajar mountain range.

The manger Ehab is super experienced for your spa needs and is a fantastic people’s person. He cannot do enough for you. My therapist Nadia has been amazing for my injured knee and creating the best massage I’ve ever had! The Turkish Hammam was also lovely and highly recommend. When I return to this hotel I will absolutely be returning to the Spa. Well done to Alaa and is incredible team xx

Good as it offers essential shopping for the tourists: Spinneys as a good food store, alcohol shop, three pharmacies, sporting goods, currency exchange, etc. Not for serious shopping.

Compared to the shopping center in Russia, it is a small market with a mass-market.
If you are ready to go for the sake of H&M, Zara, Starbucks and iPhone.. then go ahead.. You can buy a phone in Jumbo or E-max.
Carrefour = Auchan/Metro with low prices for everything. There you can buy dates, dates in chocolate. Other souvenirs are not very expensive.
I advise you to go to the adidas outlet opposite the Manar mall, we bought clothes and sneakers there (about 250-270AED came out for a pair of sneakers)

Liked the place. A bit tough but a good climb. Well maintained fort. Good view below. And the limestone mountain behind. Very far from Dubai. You have to time it so that you reach either early morning or early evening. Worth a visit

Spent 3 days in RAK and had a chance to visit the museum. Entrance fee was 5 AED and an extra 20AED (if I remember it right) if you want to do the clay pot. Interesting things on display as many others have said. This fort turned museum should not be missed when visiting RAK for the first time.

The camel tracing track,is approx 30 minutes from Waldorf Astoria by taxi, the racing starts at 6am and lasts for approx 3 hours. It is very casual and you can wander around the starting area and get very close to the camels, the locals were very hospitable and took time to explain what was happening and the procedures, I believe our wives were the only women present and everyone was very friendly to them. No grandstand or seating, you literally follow on the road alongside the track as the camels race and each race is approx 8 k.
Well worth the experience in spite of the early start,

Park at the dam and walk the steps to the flag post. You have good sunset views from here. You can return from here or continue on the path a little downhill, the path is dry & a little slippery here until you come to a fork. Take the path on the left marked by a blue arrow and you will return to where you started in a round about path. It’s about an hours trek

After a relaxing day on the beach at The Sailing Club, with excellent beach service by Vivian and Tint taking care of our F&B needs, a margarita seemed like the right way to watch the sunset. Vivian makes a stunning margarita in true Mexican style - it’s more like a martini than a large frozen or on-the-rocks drink as the rest of the world has come to know it. You can always add more sweet and sour and/or put it on ice or have it frozen but this was the closest to the first margarita I ever had in Mexico some 40 years ago. Vivian, you rocked it! We had two. My husband had to add ice and more sweet and sour but those margaritas brought me back to the Caribbean here in RAK on a Middle East sunset afternoon.

This should be called Lulu Hypermarket instead of RAK mall because most of the space is occupied by Lulu & there are very few other shops. Few restaurants are there too. All visitors who entered with me went to Lulu.

There is enough covered car parking inside the complex on the ground floor & lot more space outside the mall.

In RAK for a couple of days and found this place on a general internet search. So we drove there and paid the 20aed to park inside as i have broken achillies tendon, (you can park outside and walk in for free).
The rides were all working and varied from kids stuff to adult only white knuckle types! Staff seemed a bit bored as the park was quiet, but chatting to them they stated weekends are busy and in wint2et its hectic. The grounds are well kept and clean and prices are reasonable.

Worth a visit but bring a picnic as covid has closed concession stands for the time being.

Just perfect. Had an extensive treatment at the Spa. First sauna, Turkish steambath, jacuzzi, then a nice rub and a facemask. After the shower a perfect massage. Shaimaa took good care of me, had firm hands and was friendly and hospitable. The perfect host and masseuse.
