I have heard so much about Otaru & Sapporo. This was a walking tour that i did while waiting for hotel room to be available during the day due to early arrival.
My guide Kenji was very early in the hotel, an hour before said time. He showed me the places where he will take me. He showed me the map of sapporo & otaru.
We took the train to Otaru which was like 30 mins away only. Had lunch there. He showed me around the key points & then we headed back to sapporo & went around.
What i noticed was we hopped from one end to one end in Otaru. I dont understand why. Probably bec its a small place to see?
Kenji San is fluent in english, he is patient.
I went back to Otaru the next day & explored more seafood & shops on my own. Easy & quick JR train ride.
