I booked Jim's trip on my own. The start was on time; he picked me up at my hotel. Driving through the Cameron Highlands was incredible; so many beautiful places. Jim drove safely and always had a good answer to any of my questions. Finally it was a really nice trip! Good job Jim!

Ipoh is a lovely and interesting city, but it needs an organised tour to properly appreciate it. We picked this tour based on positive reviews and it did not disappoint. Jai met us at our hotel in a very comfortable vehicle and drove us around all the major points of interest, which included some strenuous walking. At an unhurried pace over a very full day, including a nice lunch stop, he explained everything we were seeing before finally dropping us back at our hotel. Jai was committed to giving us an enjoyable day by understanding what we were looking for and nothing was too much trouble for him. Good value and highly recommended.

It was a last minute decision to take up this pte heritage tour, and we were glad we did. Our guide was Simon. He was pleasant, polite, patient and was flexible enough to adcede to the change in itinerary. Due to expected thunderstorm in the afternoon, we requested to do swap the morning old town tour with the afternoon caves tour. The tour went smoothly. The caves were beautiful, esp like the Kek Lok Tong cave. Due to Qingming Jie, we went to Perak cave instead. Lunch was at a buzzy unpretentious coffee shop for an absolutely delicious Yong Tau Foo lunch. We decided take a cursory look at Kellie Castle from outside, and then proceeded to Pomelo plantation, an extra "complimentary" stop! Afternoon was a quick run in the rain through the old town. Highly rec this tour to provide a quick overview of Ipoh's key attractions!

Amazing to see the work of the sanctuary and see the orang-utans being looked after so well. The santuary relies on guests so you are contributing with your visit. Rajan our guide was very knowledgeable about the area, history and then later we stopped at the caves.

    Great day

We (family of 4) booked a trip through TripAdvisor to visit the recovery center. First of all: booking through TripAdvisor was very easy and we were well updated regularly. I also believe the price was competitive.
We did not know what to expect from this trip and worried about the distance from KL to the center. True, the trip is long (2x 3-4 hours), but it is well worth it. The local tour operator and driver were very professional, well informed and the car was specious for 4 tall adults).
Arriving at the ferry to the center, it looked a bit surreal: there is a large lakeside landing and infrastructure, but it was empty and there were almost no people. We took the ferry and once we arrived at the recovery center (group of around 10 persons), we got briefed by our tourguide. We walked in a cage tunnel complex (a reversed Zoo: the apes are free and we were in cages) to see the apes; we were allowed to help feeding them and got amazingly close by the orang utans. There are about 15 apes, including some cute young ones. Our tourguide explained what they do to return the apes back to the wild: most apes are abused animals, recovered from poachers or were used as pets. They all do this without any goverment funding and depend on private donations, struggling to get by.
So we really recommend to go on this tour through TripAdvisor, if you are not afraid of a 3-4 hour trip (both ways): go there and donate to the Urang Utan recovery center.
Also: on the way back to KL, you visit a nice Buddhist cave temple with huge Buddha's with a long climb to the top.

Our transfer from KL to Penang was a combination of sightseeing and visits to places of interest in and around IPO. Visits included Kellie's Castle, Gaharu Tea Valley, Gua Tempurung and the cave temple. Our guide/driver was well informed, enthusiastic and considerate. This was an interesting way to make the journey from KL to Penang and we would highly recommend it.

the tour is fruitful and the schedule is quite tight. The first viewpoint is a cave inside of a mountain and we enjoy the path quite much, as the lights are simple but able to show the environment correctly. The rests of the views are temples of chinese-style. they are quite beautiful and stylish and all of them are built in caves that make them special.

The guide is a very open and nice person. His name is Muhammad. He guided us into the gua tempurung cave for an hour. And we walked around the rest temples by ourselves. He knows a lot about Malaysia sightseeing places and it is such a great experience having him travelling together.
For the lunch, basically you can ask him to take you to any nearby places or ask for his recommendation.

9 March 2023 6.20am in the morning, John picked us at Kinta Riverside Hotel. We bit the morning traffic and arrived Lenggong Valley at around 7.30am for a coffee shop breakfast. We were then proceed to our UNESCO Archaeological Heritage tour.

The heritage tour guide could not speak much other languages except Malay. John assisted in translation and provided additional insight and helped our senior folks to complete the adventure. We were told tha our 73 year old participant was the oldest that the tour had ever received!

John took us to Kuala Kangsar for lunch and visited the royal town of Perak before heading back to hotel.

We thanked John for his friendliness, patience and professionalism.

We had a great day with guide John. We were 5 with 3 boys 14-17 yrs who also enjoyed the tour including meals in local places. John learned us to eat Mangosteen, stinky beans and waterspinach. Culture and nature (cave visit) and history. The included car was also fine. We really can recomend the tour. Ask also for the boedist temple!

As a solo female traveller in KL for a few days I wanted to experience the best nature Malaysia has to offer.

I booked online and the communication was excellent and prompt. I was met at 7am by Mavan for the Orange Utan day tour. Mavan was brilliant company and had a vast knowledge, I learnt a lot about the fascinating history of Malaysia, agriculture and different cultural practices.

This will be one of my cherished memories of the trip.. We got up close to orangutan and visit and incredible cave temple. I'm a strict vegetarian and he also managed to find a vegan Chinese restaurant. This was so good. I greatly appreciated the effort he made to accommodate this for me - I've been on other tours since and not all tour operators can be so helpful.

I've had a great day trip and recommend Mavan highly.
