The Ipoh Town Hall was completed in 1916 and was designed by British Architect Arthur Benison Hubback. Originally it was the State Administrative Office together with the Post Office. Now because of it high maintanence cost it is used as a function hall for events. Currently under renovation.

Perak Hydro Building is one of the interesting buildings on the Heritage Trail which you see mentioned on its map. It was built to house the electric company in the 1930s which was responsible for powering the booming tin industry in the area.
