Despite the pouring rain, we had a wonderful tour. Our tour guide Josh really helped look after our kids and explained everything in a manner that engaged them. We weren’t sure if the kids would last the six hours but they were actually wanting to stay longer at the end of it

Our guide was Beatrice who was enthusiastic about the culture and food. She gave us some information about buildings, Penang history and of course the food (if Chinese origin). We had a few dishes at the start to quell our hunger, then a bit of walking with nibbles on the way and finished with loads of food to fully satisfy us. Don’t worry about spicy food as she can alter to suit your taste. Great experience which allowed us to be braver when trying the local food

The tour is highly recommended: new and safe Mountainbikes, helmets, authentic and very professional tour guides! Much was shown and explained.

Absolutely must see when in Penang. We spend 3 hours at Penang Hill, taking time to enjoy the view and the Habita walk, which was amazing. Good to have fast lane ticket especially on the way back. Kek Lok Si temple was very impressive too. It took us 1 hour to see everything. After that we were taken to o coffee and batik shop. Our guide Robin was very good, funny, super knowledgeable and told us many stories about Penang, Malaysia and even beyond. Overall the trip is highly recommend but much overpriced.

Have 3 or 4 things you really want to see & you’re off.

I chose Penang Hill - with the Funicular train ride. Need a clear day for this.

And some general sights around George Town, including Chew Jetty.

The architecture is stunning but the surprise highlight for me was the street art. It’s amazing!

Thanks to tour guide Ching for going the extra mile & giving me some invaluable Penang tips.

    4 hours well spent…

We just got back from a wonderful half day tour with Lee who was a fantastic guide and showed us alot of historical sights of Penang and gave us some insight into this wonderful multi cultural island. We let him know we were foodies so he included recommendations and also a couple of food stops along the way. We even tried durien! Thanks so much Lee for a great day out and we highly recommended yhis tour especially if you are short on time like ourselves

Our guide was Mohammad who was very friendly and knowledge. The tour covered a good mixture of the local sights. Overall we were very pleased with the tour. There was just one small issue which spoilt it a bit and hence the 4 stars rather than 5. When we asked about the best place for lunch he said he could take us to a good indian restaurant for lunch (we had said we liked Indian) what wasn’t clear was that it was at the end of the day at 17.30 ! So we kept hanging on for our “lunch” stop and it kept on being after the next place, and then after the next place. We would have grabbed some quick food earlier in the tour had we known we wouldn’t be eating until 17.30 by which time I had had a thumping headache for 2 hours and didn’t enjoy the last 2 stops to the full. So I would recommend you clarify exactly what time the lunch stop will be because M was still referring to it being lunch despite it being after 17.30 ! An easily avoidable situation with clearer communication.

This tour was absolutely the highlight of our time in Penang. The food scene can be quite overwhelming and it’s difficult to know where to start but after spending time with Jesi and Baptiste, we feel very well informed. It was like hanging out with friends, great food, great conversation and some lovely walks to help the food go down. It was the perfect way to understand Penang better from a food, history and culture perspective. Don’t miss this tour!

Ronnie was our tour guide and he was amazing! We visited many iconic temples, tourist areas, historial sites, and more. We even did a coffee tasting which resulted in us buying a ton of Penang White Coffee and chocolates to bring back home. Throughout the tour, Ronnie gave wonderful explanations of the cultural signifiance of the places we visited. I would highly recommend him as a tour guide and would definitely book with him again if we ever returned to Penang.

    Superb tour!

Mr. Eng, my tour guide, could squeeze all the places I had requested to visit into my very tight schedule.
He is so knowledeage about everything that I could really enjoy the tour.
The local restaurant he took me for lunch was also very good.

I am very very satisfied with this experience.

I would strongly recommend that Mr. Eng does the guiding if possible.

We really enjoyed this cooking class.

We took the afternoon class, which we were able to book at very short notice (the day before). It was a private class with just the two of us.

Amy, Mok and Brandon were so kind and accommodating. Amy taught us a number of Nyonya dishes, such as chicken curry, roti jala, vegetable stir-fry and ondeh-ondeh. She explained it all clearly and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The food was delicious and we will definitely try to make it at home!

They also had some great tips on what and where to eat in Georgetown and Mok dropped us off on the way back which was lovely.

All in all, this was a fantastic class and we loved it!

Very good tour made especially extraordinary by our guide and driver, Philip, who was knowledgeable, attentive and professional. His passion for Penang and genuine enjoyment of tour guiding really made this a great experience.

As first timers in Penang, this tour gave us all the highlights in one go: art, culture, history and food! We were lucky to have the car to ourselves as no one else booked the tour that day (extremely lucky for us given it was the weekend) so it was convenient to have a place to leave our things.

The tour ended with a trip to the Penang White Coffee shop outside Georgetown which, while nice as it offered an opportunity to see more of the city and sample some unusually flavoured coffees from the area (w/ no obligation to buy... wink-wink), you can do without it.

Overall a good experience I highly recommend for families or those with elderly... or for super hot/rainy days when walking just won't be appealing!
